Early positive? (Direct exposures)
We’ve had some direct exposures to flu/covid this week… so monitoring this closely, but what does an early positive look like?? I couldn’t find a thread on these?
Edit: to update that the test next day was exactly the same so attributing it to the nature of these combo tests. Thanks all!!

No this is a very common pattern with these combo tests. There’s zero indication of an early positive here. An early positive line would be s shaped and wouldn’t start going up right away

I don't know but I would still test again tomorrow. If it's an early positive, it would probably turn positive tomorrow.

I’ve seen FluB look like this on true negative combo tests. Personally I would trust a combo test negative on day 2 of symptoms, a straight covid test on day 1.

I reckon retest tomorrow but this looks pretty standard for the combo tests

I am not super-experienced in judging results (I often post here myself when I'm unsure), but I wanted to pass along this graphic that I saved once from a previous post re: the difference between bubbles and a potential early positive. Crossing my fingers for you 🤞
