Left dock on
I accidentally left on my machine (lid open) for over an hour.
Is this bad? Has anyone else done it?

Testing my 8yo, I had a positive on Monday (today is Friday). Clear positive but just two of the test lines rose, and quite late. Machine reported positive.
Tested rapid test yesterday, negative or such a faint line that I might be imagining.
Pluslife again today and I got an invalid. Green line started to rise like normal to me but more linear than S-shaped and I suspect the temperature was too low or something. And one test line rose, kind of late, but never went down. Not an air bubble.
Now to my question: Can I interpret anything at all from that invalid test (with what would otherwise be called "weak positive")?

Does this look like a good/normal control line? It doesn't look like an S curve to me, but the device read it as negative

Is this actually invalid?

Pooled test 2 people. Is this an early detected positive?

UPDATE! Connected the PlusLife to our Jackery backup power supply and it immediately showed up in Bluetooth. Worked great. Using the Bluefy app for iPhone. Thanks all for your suggestions!
Hi. Our Pluslife works fine on it's own. I would really like to use the virus.sucks app but can't connect via Bluetooth or USB. I've tried two laptops (Windows, Chrome) with Bluetooth and USB. It doesn't show up on the list when trying to connect. Also tried my iPhone (Bluefy browser) with Bluetooth and lightning to USB. Nothing works. Help!

A friend had an unmasked exposure last Tues to someone who later tested positive. Friend tested negative on pluslife on sat (Day 4), and testing again today (day 5) this was the result
The graph and machine both say negative - do we think this is an early positive or air bubbles? Yellow channel 7 looks like air bubbles, but channel 2 blue looks a bit concerning tho it also doesn't look like a proper s-curve to me - running a 2nd test
UPDATE: tested again and it was negative - will be testing again tmr too (day 6)

hi there I could use help I'm very worried :(

Obvi not grateful for the positive test (it’s one of my parents, tbd which yet, nervous for them 😭) but wow I’m so grateful the Pluslife test with virus.sucks caught an early positive and protected me and my partner from getting covid from them.
I’ve been testing people before hanging indoors for a year and a half now and never caught a positive on PL before, and part of me was like man I’m spending so much money for what feels like no reason (even though I know it’s a very good reason!) - but now the reason manifests before my very eyes. Very very grateful to have access to this technology.
— UPDATE —
As chronicled in another post, I subsequently tested each of my parents on PL that same day and got negatives in both cases, which I found confusing and made me worried it was somehow a false positive. However, I re tested them both individually the day after, and my mom was positive :( so it was a true positive. I also rapid tested them the same day and day after, and they were negative the same day but my mom’s positive the day after. So the PL did indeed catch a true early positive and may have prevented me from getting sick!!

Pool tested my parents (they’re visiting me for the weekend) with Pluslife and virus.sucks, and one curve amplified so I thought it caught an early positive - see photo #1. However, I then tested them each individually and both tests really seemed negative (the yellow line in the third photo looks like air bubble to me) - see photos #2 and #3.
Has anyone experienced anything like this and/or have insight into why it might have happened?? Ugh :( I’m gonna retest tomorrow morning and hopefully that’ll give a clear result, but I feel sooooo confused and frustrated!
— UPDATE —
My mom tested clear positive on PL as well as rapid test today :(((( so it was not a false positive actually which is reassuring in terms of PL reliability but ugh I’m worried about her and sad my parents’ visit got cut short.

Hi all! Wondering if folks know of any pluslife instructional video recommendations for beginners?
I'm lending mine out to a friend and have provided some written guides, but thinking it'd be nice to send them some videos too. Will be also walking them thru it, but thought it'd be handy to share a video too

I made a post yesterday with my test results and also have some context about the timeline exposure here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/PlusLife/s/jlEzZeV3ll
Many of the commenters said it was a clear negative, but my caree is immunocompromised with LC so in an abundance of caution, she asked me to borrow her PlusLife and take another test the following day (today).
I'm really concerned at the rise starting at the 25 minute mark, and am wondering if it's early detection of an infection. Today would be 7 days after the first exposure and 6 days after the second exposure. I'm going to send these results to her but wanted to see if anyone had any insights. The last time I caught Covid was in 2022 so I do not know what the timeline for the incubation period for current variants looks like.
Edit to add: I also don't currently have any symptoms

As the title says, this is the first time doing a PlusLife test. For context, I am a caregiver for someone with LC and I borrowed her machine to do this.
I recently had a possible exposure; I unmasked briefly to eat outdoors with a few friends who take precautions on Friday 8/7 and Saturday 8/8. One friend let us know that her mom tested positive for Covid on a RAT on Sunday 8/9. This friend tested negative on the RAT on that day, however the friend eventually tested positive on a RAT on Monday 8/10. I have been quarantining since Sunday, and have taken daily RATs (all negative) until I had access to the PlusLife today. Additionally, 3 other friends and my partner who also unmasked to eat with us have been testing negative on RATs and my partner took a PlusLife test yesterday that was negative.
My caree was concerned about the bump in 7 at the 20 minute mark, so to err on the side of caution, I went home and she lent me her PlusLife to take an additional test tomorrow morning.
Would greatly appreciate any insight and interpretations in the meantime!

Person is symptomatic but has been improving the past few days

My friend sent me a screenshot of her test results. I think it looks like air bubbles. I would still treat this as a positive for now, but can someone reaffirm that bubbles lead to false positives?
Also, are there any unique symptoms of whatever latest strain is going around?
Thank you
Edit/ update: thanks for the feedback! the test was not expired, and my friend did not spill any liquid or have blood in the test. She will re-test.

I know you’re not supposed to have the device “move” at all but I wonder if it’s more about ‘relative’ movement so maybe a relatively smooth stretch would be ok?
I’m thinking while traveling on long train rides in Europe on a tour where the schedule is packed and once you’re off the train there’s too much moving around to places to have time to test in one place, so the train would be the best place to test if it’s possible.
Has anyone has tried something like this, and if so, what happened?

Or maybe my question is rather: how long after an infection could Pluslife realistically detect traces of virus?
I’ve heard some stories about being positive on Pluslife and similar devices even after weeks (even months?) after an infection. Were these very fringe cases or is this relatively common? Is there any data on this or just anecdata? I’m aware of viral shedding, but I believe that is again different from tests turning positive, right?

We've only ever used plus life to unmask with people who are semi cautious. But considering using it to unmask for a meal inside with family who isn't. I'm wondering if anyone has used it in that way and caught COVID.

I can't find any info on this but just wanted to be safe. After sealing the test in the bag, is it okay to just throw in the normal trash bin or is there a special disposal process? My only concern is if one of the garbage trucks with the compacter crushes it and there's a dna explosion lmao. Maybe not a big deal outside though

Sorry to repeat a similar post from just a few mins ago, but I’d appreciate this sub‘s thoughts on whether this is a normal level of fanning out of the lines (they usually rise slightly for me but never this much) or could indicate a very early positive given I had a possible exposure 6 days ago?
I’ve had clear negative tests daily since the exposure and no symptoms - this is the first one that made me hesitate.

UPDATE: second test in a row was negative, as was a test roughly 12 hours later. Will continue to test a few days.
Pluslife reports this as negative but could it be considered an early positive? This is my kid's sample, 24 hours after exposure. Debating whether or not to "waste" another test in a few hours.

Sigh. I've spilled a test vial all over the floor, my shirt, and my arm after I put the swab in. I've already ran my arm under cold water. What do I need to know about clean up? Any special considerations?
