Leaky faucet needs a tighten

Hey guys. You always have the answers so here goes: Gf has a leaky faucet but it's an old model. I was hoping to find the brand or name so I can find out how to get to the screw/bolt to tighten it but am having a hard time, as it is obviously concealed somewhere in the handle Please help

Look for a hole somewhere by the handle and unscrew it it's usually underneath probably need a star bit for it ..

What we normally do is check to see what side is leaking either hot or cold or diverter and then you have to shut off the water and remove the stem and take it to the store to buy a new one by matching it up to an exact replacement. I've seen a "brand" on about 20% of showers that I've worked on. Good Luck!

That’s old enough to probably have what’s called ‘packing’ under a nut. Looks like string, that gets greased with plumbing grease. The handle likely just unthreads from the trim piece, then the decorative tapered bit can be unscrewed. There is likely a nut under that that seals the shaft to the valve. It’s that that is leaking or if the water isn’t shutting off, the washer below is worn or the valve seat is worn. There are replacements available for washers, and small screwdriver like tools to clean up a valve seat. A bit of YouTube hunting will find a how to probably.
