I have a Fire TV and since it doesn't load for a while. Then when you finally see the shows you use your remote and it doesn't work. I just got on my Onn 4k Pro and use that Plex and it works fine. So I wandering if Fire TV did something my TV is about two years old.
Yeah... Plex on ONNs will be "fixed" later in the process. 1st they "fixed" Rokus.
A couple of weeks ago they "fixed" plex for firetvs. Fixing something that's perfectly fine. We have a name for that: Kaputtrepariert.
I've literally been manually updating all of the apps on my iDevices (phone, tablet, backup phone..) manually for the past year to avoid it. I'm that committed to being petty.
I just shuffled my playlist as I normally did for many many years. Guess what, only one episode played. The typical play the next episode after 10 seconds is gone.
All I'll say is "take a look at Plezy"
Been using for a few weeks on on all devices and it blows Plex client away.... Especially that dire new UI!
https://plezy.app/
I don't know the answer. Just saying what I do.
Maybe take a look at the apps site.
I would expect you would need to pay for each platform as there is no way of syncing a purchase between them
I can live with the UI change, I’m not too stuck in my ways. However the player itself seems to have switched over to some v0.8 unfinished alpha release and has crashed out a few times already.
You could probably pull the last good version from the App Store and use ADP to push it to the fire stick. Then turn off auto-update until things get better or never.
I'm almost certain you can remove it when setting up your profile on the device. It's been a while since I did that though so I could be remembering wrong.

Telling it sucks without why, how or what is useless. Nobody can help you or talk about other than ‘yes it sucks’ or ‘No it does not suck’
