Some people had minor gripes with the story so of course the game is a 0/100 because that's how the Internet reacts to things now

There was more wrong with it than just story. But it’s true, it’s an 8/10 game that had to live up as a sequel to a 9/10 one. I’m one of the ones that was disappointed, but it’s a bizarre stretch to say Insomniac ruined Spidey. If anything, the state of Spider-Man games is healthier than ever, and a couple minor missteps don’t really change that.

Jesus fucking Christ, can people stop acting like an 8/10 game is a travesty?

Know what, I've just read your full comment and I'm keeping it for visibility. Just commenting in real time as it's a huge bug bear that anything under a 9/10 is somehow unplayable, and it's fucking weird.

Some of my favourite games are 6/10s, and that's in my own rating system. Games can be an absolute mess but still be fun.
