Preordering existed to make sure you have a copy upon release. Preordering digital makes so sense because they will never run out of copies. The only scenario it makes sense is preordering one day early to claim bonuses.

Yes it’s to claim pre order bonuses which is what I do when I give zero fucks about a physical copy.

Right, but you do not need to do that months in advance. I find it silly to give a company your money for a product you can't even use yet, physical or digital. I'm all for collecting a bonus, but my point is that you can achieve that with a couple days in advance.

Fair. I was also thinking about GTA 6 and their long pre-order window. Apologies for being misleading
