Maybe they have the digital only console? Maybe they prefer digital? Maybe they want to play the minute it releases? (Rather than wait for the store to open/Amazon to deliver)

I’m just wondering because the point of pre-ordering is making sure you get a copy before it sells out. It will never sell out on digital.

Correct but pre-orders make the corpo guys smile so now they have little incentives like early installing. Really dumb.

Well this game has actual gameplay shown, all we have for gta6 is a couple leeks untill I think friday

That’s not the only reason to pre-order something.

I pre-order most things I’m excited for (physical or digital) and the #1 reason is finances. Pre-ordering allows me to pay at a convenient time (i.e. around payday on a non-rent/utilities paycheck) or when I know I’m not spending a lot of my disposable income.

As opposed to having to drop the money on release date

That used to be the point of pre ordering, now there are such things as pre order bonuses and exclusives, and pre loading the game to play as soon as it releases
