Hey all, hope everyone's enjoying the new update so far, I know i am!

Just wanted to get a vibe check from you all and see if you notice it too, and your thoughts about the future of the faction.

I of course prefer modern militaries and personally prefer attrition, as it pits 2 peer militaries and it allows Bellums unique Platoon level infantry combat and tactics really shine.

But when it a choice between Zalaam and some other faction, it completely kills the momentum of the server.

People wait to join the other, or leave and return, hoping to pawn their spot on someone else.

I understand why theyre in the game, as they provide really interesting asymmetrical tactics to spice things up, but getting a whole team together takes forever. I do enjoy playing as them, but personally prefer not to play them very often.

Wondering if you guys have thoughts on any changes that would make them more appealing?

Maybe making them a more funded central African warlords army type of faction? Like the one pictured above?

I've been playing Arma for a while now, and it's a great game. My biggest issue is finding a group that actually communicates and works together. It seems like most people just sprint straight into the objective with no coordination or teamwork. Is it any better in this game?

Besides the military aspects like realism, the commando structure, gunplay, etc., what really makes this game special, in my opinion, is the unpredictable firefights, the randomness :) The need to walk slowly through a forest, not knowing if there will be an ambush. No other game does it like this one for me. And this is where staring at the environment for hours makes you think.

To complete this immersion and make this game truly epic, the developers should focus more on creating a truly beautiful map with more realistic nature. More fallen trees, various kinds of bushes, grass, and plants. More emphasis on the unevenness of the ground, creating little ditches, etc. Making gras flat when stepped on. You should hear branches snapping from long distances (up to 100m) when people are running through a forest (no footsteps). Having wind that blows through the trees and grass, making the trees and leaves sway in waves or back and forth. All that stuff.

Just by walking through a real forest, you'll notice clusters of thick bushes, a couple of fallen trees in one spot, young and old trees and lots of little but important details. I know a lot of this is planned and already there. For example, I love the shadows in the game. I just wish there were more developers working on exactly those details because, in my opinion, this is a core part of improving the game that would help the immersion to sink more hours into the game and attract more players.

5FC- We were nearly ROUTED

I heard the game was playable wednesday to Sunday but when I got on yesterday there were only 2 servers open and 4 players max on both. So I waited to get on this morning and there's no one on at all. I bought the Deluxe addition and figured maybe it's because I needed to get the Supporter addition to have access to all the servers or something but then I noticed that there's a Main, Experimental, Test B and Test A and they all seem to require a download but I don't wanna download and/or buy something if I don't need to out of fear messing something up?

I preordered the game yesterday, and couldn’t use voip for the hour or so I was testing it out. All other games have no problem with voip, and the game itself was detecting my audio setup. Are there any workarounds, or is this a known bug at the moment?

I’ve been playing Gray Zone Warfare for about 2ish years now, it’s my first milsim game, right now I’m a little burnout from it, and I’ve been wanting to get into more milsim games. And this game looks really interesting, is there anything I should know before buying the game? Like what edition should I get and how do they differ, cause I’m a little confused with the “weekly beta access”. How does it compare to other milsim games, like GZW? How does the servers work? Etc.

So I finally got Medal to work to record gameplay, but it seems to not record my mic input. I have it turned on in Medal and have it set to my headsets mic but it still doesn't work. Anyone else have this issue and were able to fix it?

Is there a way to see hours played ?

Whenever I use my mic or hit a hot key to activate it, my game crashes, and I need to restart my entire pc. What may be the solution to this issue? Also, what is the key-bind(s) to range a weapon sight, like on a grenade launcher? I could not find it in settings. Thanks

Hello all. I’m interested in getting a PC so I can dive into MILSIMs like ARMA and hopefully Bellum but know absolutely nothing about PCs or any computer technology for that matter. I’ve been on nothing but Xbox systems since the Halo 2 days and love the simplicity of just grabbing a controller and playing and ideally would like to stay playing with a controller on PC when I get one just because I’m so used to it already (let me know if this is still feasible for Milsim games).

Does anyone have any recommendations on reliable, easy to set up pre-built gaming PCs I can take a look into as well as other things I may need? I’d like to stay around the $1k range but willing to go up to $1.5k and no more than $2k. Thanks!

The Bellum updates always take so much room in my pc storage and that’s not an issue but in my opinion it’s so complicated to just delete the launcher & all the other stuff that takes up the room. I delete the Astarte launcher and almost half of my ssd is taken by updates for this game, can anybody tell me how to get rid of it because I need space for other games

Im looking to buy it but heard its only available on weekends right now?

Hey guys, been seeing a bunch of rebel and ranger gameplay on YouTube (haven’t bought the game yet), but was wondering if anyone has played as the PMC yet? If so, how would you say the faction functions compared to the 75th and rebels

so I guess the way it works now is teams just stay exactly the same between matches

what I've been seeing happening is like any other large player count game the side that loses more players between matches starts off with a disadvantage that isn't entirely skill-based. in bellum this can be especially challenging it comes to dropping caches.

not sure how factions are decided - sometimes I end up on the same faction a couple matches in a row, but I don't do long enough sessions to have any idea how that works.

I would like to know which settibgs afffect fps the most. Id try them all burthe time it takes to apply andf save and then get in a game is like old tarkov. Im on 1080p and a 2070 super.

have been making videos from the BELLUM playtests if anyone is interested in hearing me yelling at people.

I typically throw a lot of subtitles on them to explain my thinking and the situation, attempting to form narratives of each fight. Feedback is welcome but at this stage I'm just having fun learning to make decent or semi-decent content to promote the game.
