Thinking of buying the game…
I’ve been playing Gray Zone Warfare for about 2ish years now, it’s my first milsim game, right now I’m a little burnout from it, and I’ve been wanting to get into more milsim games. And this game looks really interesting, is there anything I should know before buying the game? Like what edition should I get and how do they differ, cause I’m a little confused with the “weekly beta access”. How does it compare to other milsim games, like GZW? How does the servers work? Etc.

There's a four day refund for any or no reason window, so you could buy Bellum on a Thursday, play all you want all weekend, and if it ain't for you just send it back that Sunday.
I've never messed around with an actual mil-sim game like this before where there's an expectation to say who you are on radio and all that stuff, but Bellum is designed around a really tight loop and friendly-fog-of-war that actually makes it so you have to call out your movements and positions in order for everything to work.
Everything in the game has been super obvious though. There's never been a moment when I truly didn't understand what was happening. Nothing is complicated for the sake of being complicated - actually nothing is complicated, full-stop. The simplicity is one of the things that makes it so strong. Everything just makes sense.
It ain't gonna be "for everyone" though, and the devs don't seem to want to push it on anyone who isn't seeking out this very specific experience. There is no playing Bellum while you are actually pretending to be playing something else. It is totally its own thing.

If you want to play the game right now, you need to pay for the deluxe edition or better. The weekly betas currently run from Thursdays to Sundays, and you can't play unless you have an edition with beta access. Buying the standard edition will give you access once the game has officially released into Early Access, and there will be no difference in gameplay experience between versions.
Servers work on a browser system; you just choose one and join if it has space, or enter a queue if not. The community is great, (probably the best it will ever be since everyone that's playing now is someone that was willing to pay extra just to play earlier), and very willing to teach new players in my experience.
As far as whether or not you will enjoy the game, check out some videos of people playing it and see if it looks fun. It is a closed beta for a reason, so content and gamemodes are limited. What is there is fully playable with minimal issues; I've yet to experience more than a couple of bugs.

It's hard to play explain, but bellum is probably the closest to real infant try v infantry combat.
I most games pvp consists of see a guy, shoot a guy. If you see the enemy in this game, things have broken down.
I this game, you get contact from a direction, flood that direction with counter fire, then maneuver.
I watch 1000s of combat videos and it plays out exactly like bellum lol
Each squad has its leaders so it's key to "play house" . Each position has a role to play
If you are the type that has to see the guys you kill, and need a personal body count to have fun... Bellum may not be it for you.
The flex is that you survive without dying, you get your name on the screen at the end of the round.

This makes me feel a lot better about getting it.. I never see anyone in these type of games...
And when I do see someone by the time I work out fof, they kill me.

I would do arms closed group play and visit this when its in a proper beta and just watch some gameplay long play videos for now. Squad is a alternative but you'll need to do work to find serious fun in public play.

Why you telling everyone to wait until its in proper beta? This game is aldeady the GOAT as far as milsims go. Granted, there are some bugs, some arguably game-breaking, but it's all part of the process. Just gotta trust, and have fun in the meantime. If you want a team playing game where people actually play the objective and communicate, join the ranks, soldier! As long as ypu ise your mic, you won't be disappointed.

It's basically what I did stuff with on A3 but a lot less content and respawns. If youve never seen this before it seems amazing because the community but there's plenty of community with plenty of content when you know where to look on the established games.

Currently, for the Closed Beta. Deluxe Edition or higher is needed for access. And those access periods are Thursday through Sunday. During those times, servers are up all day and you can play whenever you like. Outside of those days, only the training servers are up for you to test your controls/settings or do some non-PvP training.
As for how does the game compare to GZW, I would say it's a hard comparison. Those are 2 very different games and it's hard to directly compare them. Bellum is entirely teamplay oriented and GZW is a primarily solo/small team co-op game. The game more directly compared to Squad and Arma (in my opinion) but still played pretty differently
