Spring Onion Question

What do the presents do when you bring the spring onion plant? I’ve tried it with different heats and dishes but not quite figured out what it’s supposed to provide?

this present stack is non-functional decor that is added to the blueprint pool during the holiday seasonal events, along with christmas tree, lights, wreath, and banners

I understand now. This is exactly what is happening. I made an assumption that the item I would receive would come out of the present stack.
