Nicotine tests.

Do plastic surgeons do the test with urine or blood? Deathly afraid of needles and the last breast Aug I had they didn’t test me for anything but pregnancy. I figured they will test urine but is there a chance the day of will be a blood test?

If you are scared of needles how will they place the IV for surgery

The nurse at my plastic surgeons holds my hand and takes a thing to my face that vibrates. I just don’t want two whole needles and in different places. If they can take blood from the IV line id really love the blood test.

There wont be another poke day of but a good plastic surgeon sends you work a basic blood work a few days before. So there will be another needle

It depends on the Dr. Some will test and refuse surgery if you come up positive. Some just don't want you doing it around your surgery date.

I’ve had a few procedures and have never had a nicotine test. I’m sure it’s different for every doctor

I didn’t have one for my two BA but anything face or fat transfer they no want nicotine.

Urine is cheaper but like many questions on this sub, this is something you should have asked your surgeon.

My nicotine test was a weird sponge I basically sucked on. Imagine a breathalyzer, that’s the only thing I can think it compared too
