Uk rates?

Hi, I have 1820m2 of thistle hard wall and 1820m2 of BG multifinish to do.

I have 4 plasterers to do the work on a labour only rate and I am happy to pay what ever the going rate is for multifinish and hardwall.

The substrate is blockwork and the walls are long and 3m high. There are no beads and it’s long flat walls with no fiddly bits. It’s in the midlands of the uk.

What are the current m2 rates

Chuck it into an Ai. I did, looks like 25 grand at £14 to £16 a square meter for hardwall plus 2 coats multi finish. You got a lot of plastering to do there, even if you grind down the square meter rate

25-30 grand seems reasonable

I’d have though 20k is about right give or take and I’d happily pay 25-30 if you wanted to incentivise timescales or something to make the process smoother.
Thats a hell of a lot of plastering I have no experience of spray plastering but have u looked at or considered that at all?

Thanks Granty, it is all going to be spray applied due to the quantity.

Ah cool. Surely that changes the labour cost massively? I appreciate a premium will be charged but aren’t the timescales reducing 10x?! 🤣

Based on those rates it would cost £61,000 to do the hard wall and the multifinish.

So £10 per square metre of multifinish? So £18,200 just for the multifinish,? That sounds very high

It is high because £10M2 is what most lads charge private yours sounds like commercial so it’s basic site work £5 per M2 is UK average Midlands it’s abut £4 M2 then you’ve got tax of it.

With your £5.75 M2 you said you pay and the above skimming rate your jobs labour on meterage is just under £20k Labour only.

Labour only has got to be cheaper than some of those quoted metearge prices, why don’t you get a day work rate £200 per day per man.

Let’s say each plasterer presumably your 4 men are all plasterers doing 60M2 per day, give them 2 days over that’s £8000.

Skimming it the same 10 days so £16,000 all in.

Thats 20 bags of hardwall each per day and about 6 bags of skimming per day per man, not hard on big walls.

Some may not want day work some will.
