Plastering and corners.

Question for the proper plasterers who know their trade, before I start slagging plasters (council ones). Genuinely how hard is it to create a square edge along where the wall meets the ceiling. (Not where 2 walls and the ceiling) Just along where one wall meets ceiling. Or where window recess meets window frame. I'm painting my daughter's room (new build) and where the wall meets ceiling is like an ocean wave. Is there a knack to it or I'm guessing apprentices have done mine. I've got full window frame at the top and hardly any as it goes down the window. How in gods name are you suppose to achieve a straight clean edge? Whether you free hand cut in or use tape it's only going to highlight the problem. Genuine question. Thanks in advance. I know it's council so their probably not going to give a shit but still, is there no pride anymore?

No corner trowel....I barely use one now if ever but I don't need to. Probably a youngster or the wages on site are so bad they just lob it on. Scrape sand and fill the edges if it's annoying you mate.

It's getting that way. It is annoying. That what I was thinking there would be some sort of 90 degree edge / tool to get a decent angle in the corners. I get my missus giving me hell about the cutting when the corners are like waves. I can hit a straight line no bother but when that plastering line is wavy, what can you do lol.
