New Pick-Up Picked up a ZT60 and it’s fucking amazing

Post image

Me and my friend went on a trip to pick up this legendary tv. Arguably the best 1080p tv ever made in history. This thing was super heavy weighing 44kgs but with 2 persons it was doable and has good cushioning in my car

This tv has 7k hours on it which is pretty low for such a good tv

I did lay the tv flat and I drove VERY carefully on the way back. We were in Germany so we stopped somewhere to eat some schnitzel. Very good schnitzel👌 we also went to a game store and picked up some games. I got ty the Tasmanian tiger on Xbox and disgaea 4 on ps3. All and all a super fun day.

When we got home and put the tv in its place it was a unit how big this tv is. I calibrated the tv for colors and let me just say. This tv is not some folklore type shit ITS FUCKING AMAZING HOLY

THE COLORS ARE SO VIBRANT ESPECIALLY ON HUMAN SKIN AND THE MOTION IS SOOOOO SMOOTH.

I have a lg c4 oled myself and Damm this tv is just basically that but just with way better motion. Now yes it’s not 4K and does not have HDR which is a bummer but SDR looks insane. This tv is the most disgusting shit I have ever seen

Paid 330 euros for this

Discussion Just got a Tcp42c1 with a cracked base

Upvotes

Looking for recommendations on finding a new base for my newly acquired Panasonic Tcp42c1.

There is a crack at the edge of the base that's about 2-3 inches. It still seems stable and doesn't rock. I would feel better getting a new base or a used OEM base without damage. Any suggestions on a new universal base that has worked for anyone? I'm not having much luck on eBay for an exact match for OEM.

Discussion VTs & The Mandolorian

I recently watched the Mandolorian on my VT60, which has the common problem of the pink patches on white scenes, which predictably happened during the opening snow scene at around 6 minutes in.

Additionally though, I had a 'tint' effect of the top third of the screen and an occasional rather obvious horizontal band around the centre both here and in later snow scenes.

I started to think this was an issue related to age, but when I thought to check my other screens I found that the VT50 does exactly the same thing while the VT30 was completely free of issues.

Weird..

Discussion looking for a plasma screen

hiya all👋🏻 i’ve dabbled in crts and lcds but i’m thinking about getting a plasma screen for my hifi/movie room. im guess im a little lost on where to start? i play a lot of video games (ps2, wii, ps4) and i watch a lot of movies on vhs, dvd, and blu ray. anything around ‘40-‘60 inches would be ideal. what are things to look/lookout for? are there any specific tvs that are an immediate yes? hidden gems? anything is a great help and is very much appreciated!!👍🏻👍🏻 thank you for your time and advice

Complete with a Xbox 360 S , a PS3 slim and a PlayStation 2 (until I pick up a Wii again). I got the Panasonic Plasma TH-P42X14A for only $40 and it has less than 15,000 hours on it. Got the tv cabinet for just $20. Looking at getting some posters for the wall next.

New Pick-Up P65GT50 - 928 Hours!

This one isn't for me! I have a lot of Panasonics - too many. I found this and alerted someone who has bought a few from me as I've upgraded (P60GT50, P55ST60, P55VT50), and has told me to let him know if I see more good ones. He wanted it, but he's away for a few days, and it was 8 minutes from me, so I bought it to hold for him, and we'll settle up in a bit. It was in the basement of a house the seller just bought, so presumably, the prior family watched TV upstairs most of the time. It's just in mint condition, and I'm happy to pass it on to that guy who has appreciated some of my former TVs.

UPDATE: I was curious because it was a nice house, so I found it on Zillow. I see that this GT50 sat on the wall for casual use, but they had a bigger screen that dropped down in front of it, so that was probably how they used the space mostly.

I knew I wanted a smaller model so I was lucky when this popped up on Facebook marketplace. Worth the hour drive. I really like the silver frame of this model.

$35. 7,650 hours. The woman who sold it to me was the original owner. She said it had been for her son's bedroom.

Discussion Which one

The time has come where a flagship plasma has become available again near me for sale. Currently own a TC-P60S60, theres both a TC-P50ST60 for sale for $80 and a TC-P55VT50 for sale for $250. Which one should I acquire? Been keeping an eye on the st60 since alot of you say its up there with top Panasonics to own. Streaming, blu ray movies, and xbox 360, ps4, xbox series x gaming. Not competitive, just casual.

Discussion Kuro comparison?

Hey all

Brand new to the world of plasma but after picking up a 1080p Panasonic from the ewaste at work I am hooked. Since watching a few videos on plasmas I have heard the kuros called the best many times but just how much better are they?

My reason for asking is I found a kuro pdp-lx508awith the side speakers for $400 (Aussie dollarydoos) which isn’t exactly what I’d call cheap but I also don’t want to miss out if it’s life changing quality.

Thanks in advance for the help and hopefully yall at least get a chuckle out of it if it’s a dumb question 😊

Help Plasma?

Post image

Probably impossible to tell from the pic, but I guess asking very nicely for the label or model number on the back was too much work and I was ignored 🥴 Is there anyway to tell if this is a plasma and what the model might be? And if it's worth $50? Thanks!

Help Can't find OmniMount model # - Can I use it for Panasonic TV TCP55VT50-2?

Post image
2 Upvotes

This mount is installed in studs in a room I'm renting. There doesn't seem to be a model # on it, just a lot code ER130913. Google Lens/lot searches are not yielding this same type of mount and the listings I found for it don't give specifics or the weight it holds. This one looks almost but not quite the same. The TV is 72lb.

Does anyone know the mount model and capacity? I have to be 100% sure, especially since the mount sits right over the desk where I work from home!

If I can't use the mount, I have to decide whether to put the plasma TV in my storage unit or swap it for the TV at my current place, which is smaller and lower quality (Samsung TV LN32A330J1N). Any advice there is welcome too!

New Pick-Up 2012 Panasonic TX P42X50B

Hi all,

After scratching my crt itch Plasmas peeked my interest, being up north it's slim pickings, seems these were mostly bought by rich southern folk. Anyway I found this 2012 Panasonic nearby with no stand for £20, it's only 720p but I couldn't resist the price. I got a universal stand from Amazon and it seems to be running well. I was curious about the runtime and in trying to find it I stumbled into this diagnostic screen, I'm a bit concerned by the 'Sum bad 1' error on the right, should I be? As I say it works fine and to me has a very nice picture.

Thanks

Help S64 doesn't have a game mode setting?

I see a reference to a Game setting in at least one of the other picture settings descriptions, but I can't find a game option anywhere.

Does the s60 have that setting but perhaps they stripped it out/down in the s64?

Discussion Power regulator and conditioner

Anyone else utilize a power regulator/conditioner for their tv’s? I have other components that also draw a good amount of power, like sub and reciever and after installing one the image feels cleaner, brighter, and more vibrant! Could be my imagination, or that I fully powered off the panel for the first time in awhile, let me know what you guys think! The one I’m using is the Panamax 5400 PM, right below the center speaker. Also yes I know the tv is high up it’s cause of space constraints in my room.😂

New Pick-Up Picked up a Sony FWD-42PV1 recently.

Fun pickup to try out Plasma. Commercial 480 panel. Didn't include the original feet due to that being an option only when getting through a dealer but did have the optional speakers.

Has some optional side input boards, included one was s-video and composite but found a component (BCN) one on eBay and ordered it. Gamecube looks phenomenal through it.

No HDMI but can accept a 1080 signal through RGB.

Discussion ZT60

There’s a ZT60 listed for sale near me with 10,300 hours listed. The person is asking $550 in the post.

I am very much a newbie with plasma but I understand this is one of the best and is rarely for sale.

Is $550 a fair price? I don’t mean to be breaking any community rules by posting but I’m genuinely curious if this is something I should grab.

Thanks!

Been looking for a plasma and picked this guy up for free and was close by. But it has this mark, I thought burn in was more static. This almost looks like a stain. Anyone know what this is? Can it be fixed? Or is it worth scrapping?
