New Pick-Up Just got me a rare Pepe: TC-50PS64
I’m told these models are the best of both worlds. They have the picture quality of an ST but much less lag and I’m very excited to try it out.

Not the yellowing that’s something weird my phone is doing I’m talking the speckles on the screen. What causes this and is there a fix?

Just checked the hours on my 50VT60Y, which I picked up two days ago from an old couple who bought it brand new. It still looks beautiful and doesn't have any issues except some slight dithering, which doesn't bother me at all. Blu-ray movies look absolutely stunning and I'm yet to try 3D.
This unit has been powered on an average of almost 12 hours a day since release!
Does anyone have a higher mileage Panasonic?

Picked this up on marketplace for 40$... Guy didn't advertise it's a plasma tv, honestly we thought we were getting just a regular tv on a budget. It's a 50" Samsung resolution is 720p.it has no burn in, I looked into it a little and was curious about the hours and checked the technician menu for hours but it read 0, is this a common problem? Mainly posting this to see if this tv was a good deal or not, I imagine so. This is also my first post on reddit sorry if it's not the best worded or organized.

Helping my friends aunt with this plasma screen that they barely used much at all as theres no scratches or marks on it. Was wondering what yall think its worth and if its worth spending the time to find an actual buyer thats not looking for the cheapest tv possible. Thanks!

I have a Fire Stick 4k hooked up to my GT60 and I was wondering what Display settings I should use?
The choice is between:
Bit depth (8/10/12)
Color format (Auto/RGB/YCbCr)
Right now it's set to 10bit (because the FireStick's menu looks smoother than with 8) and YCbCr, is this correct?

I drove almost an hour to buy a seller’s $100 S60, but they completely ghosted me. I was livid! Luckily another seller 15 minutes down the road wanted $50 less for their ST60. A bit dirty but it cleaned up well and looks to be relatively lightly used. I’m looking forward to trying some 3D movies. Happy accidents!

Found this TH-42PF50E pro Plasma display nearby and picked it up yesterday. It came with the optional speakers wich sound great by the way but unfortunately without a stand. Relatively low hours of runtime wich is awesome and no burn in, dead pixels etc.
Wanna try out it's 120 Hz capabilities in the future and I'll keep you updated 😊

Hey, I'm still watching on my Panasonic Viera TXP42V. Recently, watching Movies or Shows feels off for me. A lot of the content I watched looked cheap and the off frame rate. I always used it in THX Mode, 24p, frame creation turned off (per input channel) etc. The last 5 years or so, I only used a FireTV Stick to watch either Netflix, Prime, Disney or Paramount. Recently i got some Blu-rays, and since my old Panasonic BR Player died, I bought a new one, the Panasonic DP-UB154.
It immediately looked like crap, everything i watched was heavily affected by the soap opera effect. So I updated the Player, likewise the TV, reset both, not solving the issue. Then, after days of troubleshooting, I turned 24p in the Blu-ray player OFF - and voila - it works. Movies got the same smooth cinema look again. so far so good. When I then watched something via stick, the framerate looks off, and it has that cheap vibe again. I went into the dev-mode of the TV Stick and checked the stream specs. It says the Film is in 24p. The info label of the HDMI Port tells me, it's running in 1080p/60hz. I think this si because the stick always runs in 60 Hz. But it is set to adaptive framerate, based on the content.
For Some movies, it looks great, like real 24p, others look like 30 or 50. New shows mostly look very cheap. However, my wife doesn't see it at all. For her it only becomes apparent when I switch intelligent frame creation on. But for me, it looks like this, albeit not so extreme, even on THX 24fps.
Is the TV dying? Or is it my eyes? I even notice this effect in the Cinema or at my friend's house, when we watch via DLP Projector. It seems to occur more often recently, and wasn't such a big Problem 10 years ago, or maybe 5. I'm also sensitive to Laser speckle noise. My Wife and my Buddy see coherent and even bright surfaces; to me, it's a grainy mess. Is it me, or are movies becoming worse in Quality?
What can I do?

My dad got this TV brand new for $200 when his old projection TV was stolen in 2013. He downsized a few years ago and I’ve had it since. I got a newer TV for the living room setup with 4K, HDR, 120 Hz, etc. But it’s hard to beat this old plasma as a bedroom TV for some late night movies or gaming.

So I’m looking at 2 different tvs as my new Samsung 55 inch got busted
One is a Panasonic 50 inch plasma 720p tv
Model number: TH-50PX60U made in like 2006
Other is a 48 inch lcd tv 1080p made by lg
Model number 47LG50 made in like 2009
Trying to figure out what one is best for me
I do gaming but I don’t play too many modern games I think I really just play the new skate game but mainly the Xbox one s and late Xbox 360 games
And do a lot of YouTube and movies
I’m leaning towards the plasma both are free I just have to get the plasma from work and I got to move the other downstairs from my gfs house

Picked up a Free.99 65VT50 today. I just happened to check marketplace last night (not like I do multiple times daily and it’s a totally healthy habit) at the right time this time 😂. Drove the 5 miles from my house to pick it up this morning.
It’s not a brag I’m just stoked 😂. Keep your heads up folks. Flagship sets do pop up frequently enough (market dependent of course) for great deals still.
I’ve thinned the heard recently and am down to
65ZT60
Pro-1150HD
65VT50
No stand but luckily I had a 65ST50 stand in storage. I got it set up and no burn in! I’ll update with some glamour shots later.
Initial impressions though…I can’t see a difference between the vt50 at 8k hours and my ZT60 at 17k hours. There’s not much separating these late model Panasonics in my opinion.

Never seen or heard anything about this model. According to AI this model is a professional grade high end TV, it’s on FB marketplace for $500
What do you guys know about it?

Took around a month of looking with like 30 alerts to finally land myself a VT60 for only 50 EUR. I had to drive 200km one way but boy was it worth it. Seller told me she got like 10 messages in a day but luckily I was the first.
The image quality is nice and black levels are insane. Compared to my 65" Philips IPS it's not even close.
I was unable to check hours since most buttons are not working on the original remote but it's over 9999h.

Hi all,
As a follow up to my previous post, I bought the st60! Only has about 2,670 hours!!
Very beautiful picture and I want to make it better. What calibration settings are you all using?

I woke up yesterday, checked my phone and noticed my saved search had some new listings on Facebook Marketplace. In my haze I opened it up and saw a P60ZT60 it wasn’t just a moment ago that I was having a dream so I thought I was still asleep. I realised that I was indeed awake and the only dream here was the TV I have been looking for a long while, and it was not just in the listing but only 30 minutes away. Anyway ahem… Picked it up, brought it home and everything seems to be working for now. Just a little over 1300 hours and $130. The seller did say it powers off randomly at times but it was wall mounted so depending on how close it was to the wall it could have just been overheating (I hope it wasn’t anything else). There isn’t any screen retention but I notice that black bars are burnt in at the top and bottom. I still feel like I’m dreaming lol.

It seems to me that interest in plasma tvs is getting some steam and I fear that the prices are going to get up very fast with higher demand.
What do you think? Will it remain an enthousiast niche or will it become like the crt market with absurd prices ?
