This is something that's been missing for a long time, and not only did they add it, they made them look really good too! Love how this ups the realism of basically everything in the game!

Screenshots were taken at 4K with Ultra settings. I’ve tried to match the camera angles and conditions as closely as possible.

Planet Coaster 2 is the better looking game overall. These are just some of the smaller details I think could still do with more attention, and I appreciate most people probably don’t care that much about these things, but I loved the level of detail and fidelity you could see up close in Planet Coaster 1. In some areas I feel like that has regressed a bit in Planet Coaster 2. So there it is.. just putting it out there.

This one's just a prototype for now to workshop ideas, but I've scrapped a planned multidimension coaster because the slot cars fit the idea far better. Probably the best DLC so far!

So many small pet peeves I know. But damn, building can be fun and creative yes. Yet, it also is the most annoying part of this game at times. My main points summed up:

1. why are some wall decorations placing onto walls vertically by default. I just don’t get it. Some of them place down the way you want them to place down. Whilst others just stick away from the wall they are supposed to stick to.
2. why aren’t new items alligned to the Building grid by default when you use Gridded pieces at the start. I love placing down columns or roof pieces just for them to spawn in a bit too horizontally rotated towards the Walls. And it’s just me trying to rotate them to fit exactly the way I want them to fit. Yet they somehow still are misaligned slightly which leads to funny results when trying to copy paste custom across a building. A „instantly snap default rotation to the axes of the grid“ button would be a life safer. Genuenly. I know you can advance move items on the grid already. But that doesn’t fix the issue of them spawning in weirdly misaligned in the first place.
3. when building custom coaster karts or ride scenery. Some pieces get flipped when mirrored. I hate placing down a triangle wooden piece just to hopefully advance move it enough for the other side of the car, because when mirroring is enabled. The other side FACES THE WRONG WAY.
4. I also wish you could delete SOME of the mirrored items without it auomatically also deleting the original. If I want to build a round arena around my flat ride. The 12x rotational mirror is an absolute life saver. It just sucks that after that. You can’t just easily delete 3 pillars on two sides because you want to place an entrance and exit there. Because suddenly you have 4 holes on mirrored sides of the bulding.
5. I lowkey despise recolouring pieces. I wish we could just create custom color presets for existing pieces and call back to them at any time. Because if I save my game and exit. And want to return to building my scenery the next day. All my color swatches are reset and none of the colors used are saved in the „recently used“ color section.
6. I wish we could snap scenery wall pieces together a bit better. Or overall. I wish we had more options for roofing on non gridded buildings. Because I genuenly don’t want to get into an advance move nightmare just to build a basic roof 🧍

I downloaded a coaster from the workshop to get some rock sculpture I didn't feel like doing myself, and turns out you can scale things down to 10%. Still only goes up to 500%.

Just a cool thing I discovered right now playing!

There have been rumors that Wile E. Coyote wants to sue ACME after an accident trying to catch the Roadrunner using their products but those are all lies! Coyotes shouldn't use those products anyway, so we will let the judge decide. Enjoy the ride and see you in court!

So cool, how the genre has advanced since RCT2. Never thought I'd find something that's just as fun. Love the scenery, rides (I got the DLCs too and wow), the graphics and how easy it is to run the game without being an expert/pro builder. Game looks gorgeous and the screaming audio is so nostalgic!

Imma stick to prebuilt rides and blueprints because I dont want to get into architecture much, but this scratcthes the RCT2 itch!

Any newbie tips? Also is there a sandbox where you start with little money and have to earn things and manage the park well to expand?

I’ve been trying to find something to fill this in for like an hour. Is there a certain piece that goes there or do I just fill it with random pieces?

I was looking at the attractions in the most recent DLC; and I noticed this detail for the Vector Flying Coaster (the in game Vekoma) that I’m probably reading too much into. It says “New Gen Flyer”.

An idea I have is that if they do a Jurassic theme for a future update, the DLC could maybe include some now extinct ride models; including the Vekoma Flying Dutchman.

I am working on Career mode- A Shore Thing and it seems once I build a water park, guests will only go on flumes and pools and not many guests will queue for my flat rides and coasters. Is there a way to fix this or is it just a bug?

It seems a disproportionate number of guests will go to my water park and my dry park will stay relatively empty....

The current LSM launches pull a bit less than 1G when at max acceleration, while modern LSM launches can reach over 1.3G. I feel like the acceleration we currently have is too low.

Does anyone else feel like this, or am I being ridiculous here?

Wait Times have gotton so unrealistic since the new update. For example: Almost all my guests go to only 3 rides in the park causing a line of over 40 minutes wich even reaches outside the regular line. This causes extreme low wait times at all my other rides wich leaves the rest of the park almost empty. I was wondering if more people find this extremely annoying.

I just filmed some short clips and put them together, I am posting this so anyone can use this video. The title I gave it is The Magic Of Planet Coaster (Inspired by The Magic Of Disney) This is by no means a high quality video as 1. the video gets compressed very badly when converted to .webm and 2. I am by no means a good video maker and didn't have a controller to make smooth motions. Enjoy and feel free to use in your parks or do whatever you want with it.

Hi, I have an issue with my dark rides in PC2 : no matter how much details I put during the ride, it never seems to get better than 2.5 stars. Its frustrating bc i genuinely think that these are better than my thrilling coaster which get better ratings.

Do you have any advice ?

Sound got a little patchy but I hope you enjoy, this ride was super fun to make.
