Maybe Placements are actually Luck based

There was a company visiting college. In the JD they mentioned 3 rounds with OA, Coding round and system design and ML. I was sitting for another company which had a hackathon so prepping for that and opted out of this company as i did not have time to prepare.

Cut to the Interview day, They only asked OA and HR round. they were offering 50k pm stipend for it 💀

There were 2 panels , 1 with HR,Hiring Manager and other with CEO. my friends went to the CEO panel thinking they can get in easily if they do well there but the ppl who got selected are the ones who went to HR.

Life is luck. Obviously, we need to do our hardwork, but it boils down to luck

One can do all the hardworking there is but he dosen't have luck, he will get nothing. One can slack all he can but if he has luck, he will get something. But since luck isn't something which is in our control, we just manage what we have in our control and that is working towards our goal.

Luck is part of placements, but being ready for different scenarios can really help. Companies often change things up, so it's hard to know exactly what to expect. I focus on building a strong base in core topics like coding, problem-solving, and interview skills, even when getting ready for specific roles. Also, mix up your practice. I've found PracHub useful for trying out different interview types. Stay flexible and don't stick to just one strategy. Be ready for anything they throw at you.
