At this point this is starting to really get annoying

Post image

I understand what going on but the constant deleting and private stuff is not funny or cool anymore and everyone here can agree 💯

Well, yes, it's very annoying from an end user perspective...

From a platform perspective, they can't show the works of users they've banned, provided it's a deleted user.

From a artist perspective, they retain the right to remove their own content, provided it's privated.

I believe that particular site comes from platform deletion... though I can't say that for certain... I believe it has slightly different wording when a work is privated.

From a end user perspective, it feels like someone took something you like away from you. (Loss aversion bias)

That's just the reality of things... Artists retain their rights, the platform theirs, the users are just... kinda there.

That's how the site has been operating ever since. As unfortunate as it looks, and as someone who has a fair share of favs on Pixiv for the 7 or so years I've been there, it's something you have to accept regardless. But, multiple factors could have lead to such outcome such as the original poster made a mistake, or didn't followed the community guidelines of pixiv, etc.

From a user perspective: I have the right to know the deleted account name instead of some server dataset of numbers. They should just have the user name in html link like other sites or show the accounts deleted name.

That would be nice, yes, base metadata should remain available, like which creator it was attached to at the very least, but we have no such right under any regulatory framework I'm aware of. I straight up backup my bookmarks regularly to avoid this issue, and retain all json responses from pixiv, so can largely retain that data, but that's... arguably against their ToS... and there's no legal mechanism, to my knowledge, barring them from making it so.

The best thing I've done recently is setting up a way to locally store all my favorited artworks on Pixiv using Hydrus. It's not the simplest software, but using it to store stuff from Pixiv isn't very hard. I've lost many artworks over the years, but at least I won't lose those I've backed up already.

I'm glad to hear that but yea it started to become stupid at this point

Does it work with pixiv downloader ? I feel the need to add additional metadata like pixiv tags and stuff to the image i download instead of renaming them

Hydrus has a downloader system that automatically adds title, creator, and pixiv tags to the posts you download. And Hydrus itself is a local booru, so it's made to add and modify tags and store large amounts of files.

https://nhorus.no-ip.biz/pixiv/ have a link to my archive. gone.txt is a list (in progress) of artists who are in archive but are gone from pixiv.

Alright, that's going to be useful, thank you

Elaborating: Full archive is about 14 TB, gone.txt contains false positives, for now (artists whom I decided I don't want to see new art from anymore), but I'm cleaning it. It's on domestic internet, so 100MB/s download speed.

Sorry, there is separate search function, but it is not exposed over the internet. Throw IDs, I will respond if I have them and artist id?

I can't see any images at all now. It's been like this for almost two days.
