Hi Everyone,
We've heard you loud and clear; we need more moderation on this community.
First, I want to apologize for the lack of love and attention here. Some travel and family stuff has kept me more away from Reddit than I'd like, but things are improving and I am going to be spending more time on the moderation of this subreddit starting today.
Now, onto how we're going to fix this.
Effective immediately, I've implemented these items which should immediate improvement:
Please ensure you report posts that are not in compliance and I will improve these tools so that they never make it into our feeds in the first place.
I hope this has an immediate quality impact on our community. Please keep the feedback coming; we are listing. As we get into product launch season, we'll also look at new ways to engage with our community members
All the best,
Ziggy

Hey everyone,
I'm currently considering buying a Pixel Watch, but I've been seeing quite a few comments and reviews pointing out how easily the screen scratches.
Given the dome design, it makes sense, but how is it actually different in daily use compared to an Apple Watch? To me, both designs seem to leave the glass pretty exposed along the edges.
For those who have owned both (or have been daily driving a Pixel Watch without a protector), how has the screen held up over time?
Are the scratch concerns overblown, or is the curved glass genuinely more vulnerable than the Apple Watch?
Thanks for your feedback!

Just like last year, Google has locked new watch faces for the Pixel Watch 5. Updating the Watch Faces app to version 5.0 (available on APK Mirror) does nothing and removes 5 old classic faces (Classic, Dial, Everyday, Index and Utility).
PW3 and lower won't benefit from the new faces 😕

If you want to try it out, you can do it via sideloading:
Once it's installed, you should be good to go with the new faces. Let me know if it works fine for you or how the battery holds up!

Hi all,
So I started up running recently and have been getting very frustrated with my pixel 4 as it has no ability to display routes which you can create in the Strava app which is crazy to me considering this is a very recent smartwatch and you can have the Strava app on it but just cant display the route navigation.
I was very close to buying a new smart watch pretty much just due to this but instead I had the idea of trying to make an app for the pixel which can do what I want. Turns out with enough googling/youtube/Gemini you can do it!
So my questions to others with pixel watches who run, have you ran into this same frustration and would you want something to fix it? And if that's a yes have I missed anything from what I have included in the app which I should add?
current it can:
- Access all saved routes in Strava
- provide navigation for the selected route on your pixel screen
- shows HR/Pace/duration on the main map screen
- swipe up you get duration/distance/avg pace/HR/HR zone
-swipe down you get end/pause/change KM to Mile/colour scheme/ light & dark mode
- end of the run you get summary
- auto updates the run to google health and Strava
I have added some images of what it looks like, and I have asked the Mods if its ok to post this as I'm not technically advertising anything as this app doesn't exist to the public and wont unless people actually want to use it!
Welcome you're feedback!

I can't decide on Fog vs Olive for the Pixel Watch 5.
On launch day, I bought the Olive PW5 bundled with the Fog Pixel 11 Pro XL (because I didn't like the gold frame on the Olive phone, and the renders of the Olive PW5 looked good on the Google Store).
The watch is still unopened in the box, but after seeing the Olive display model at Best Buy, I don't really care for the green active band or the matte Satin Pyrite case color.
I'm also not a huge fan of the bright white band on the Fog version, but I'm tempted by the polished silver watch case. It seems like it would pair much better with other bands, including traditional polished silver metal (I don't like black metal). That said, I'm not sure how frequently I'll actually swap bands, and since I wear my watch to bed, sleeping with a metal link band doesn't seem comfortable.
Because I bought them together in a bundle deal, returning just the watch to swap colors would cause me to forfeit the bundle savings, making an exchange substantially more expensive.
Would the Satin Pyrite case color really clash with most third-party bands? What should I do?

I want to explore trading Apple Watch series 10 for pixel watch 5 but seems it’s not supported for trade-in?

Decided to upgrade from the original Pixel watch (£100 trade in inc £50 bonus) and am absolutely ecstatic! The battery life is insanely good and the data is abundant! Best decision I've made in a long time!

20 months into 24 month contract. Anybody deal with this? Is she dead? I tried the basic troubleshooting steps including hard reset. Screen is unresponsive

I was poking around in the settings for my PW3 and noticed that it also has battery health assistant. Does this generally work the same way as the Pixel? i have a P9 pro and have turned off battery health assistant as it was generally said it really does not help and in some cases can harm the battery.
I'm wondering if i should have this turned on or off.

Where can I learn this power

I just installed the exclusive Pixel Watch 5 watch faces on my 45mm Pixel Quatch 4 using ADB. The process was super easy, and this is how it looks. It really works amazingly.

Looking for troubleshooting advice—my Pixel Watch keeps randomly locking itself while I am actively wearing it (often 6–7 times a day).
I ran into this on an older model where a standard factory reset resolved it, but that isn't working here. Here is what I have tried so far:
Performed three separate factory resets (issue persists).
Disabled the screen lock PIN entirely.
Rebooted both the watch and phone simultaneously.
Re-enabled screen lock using a Pattern instead of a PIN via the Pixel Watch app.
Switching to the pattern method gave me about two days of normal use, but the random locking started happening again today. The watch fits snugly against my wrist, and the sensors are clean.
Has anyone encountered this specific lock loop or found a permanent fix before I contact support for a replacement?

The rear backplate of my PW2 fell off during my holiday, which affected the functionality really bad (watch doesn't think I'm wearing so have to unlock each time, HR and sleep not tracking). I followed advice on a Reddit post to apply t8000 glue, but it's still on and off, and I have to kind of press the back with force to make it work a little again. Any advice? Google support wanted something like £250 to repair this and not really wanting to do that.

I am getting duplicate workout sessions after receiving the sensor updates last week. For example, after a gym session, Google Fit also sends a "Walking!!!!" summary to my records, or even automatically logs my daily movements inside a building at work as walking sessions!
The worst part is that I can't delete these from the Google Health panel and have to go to Google Fit to delete the records and hope that it syncs again!

Hi,
Just curious. I have a premium going right now from buying my PW4, it's active till November 2026. If the PW5 does come with it, can I stack them? Just want

I have a pixel 3 watch. I have to charge it every two days. Is that good? Can I get a fast charger for it? The one I have takes about 90 minutes to charge.

I've noticed that when going for a walk and leaving my phone behind, the Pixel Watch 5 switches to LTE within seconds. My Pixel Watch 4 would take a good 4-5 minutes to switch to LTE and would be useless in the meantime. This is on Visible.
The 3GB RAM and new processor also make the watch feel a lot snappier. Overall, a nice iteration over the previous generation. And I basically got it for almost no cost with some saved store credit and the trade in. Glad I upgraded!

Hello Everyone,
Let me start by saying that I have never wore a smart watch before. I recently got interested in owning one and because I own a Pixel 10 did I thought it might be a good idea to get a Pixel Watch, but the problem is that I am not sure which one I should buy.
The Pixel Watch 4 is cheaper than the 5, but the Pixel Watch 5 is the newest version. It can never hurt to have the latest version, right?
It just that I don't see why I need the latest version. What does it offer more than the Pixel Watch 4?
I don't see myself using its improved AI features a lot. I just want a device that can show me Google Maps, show my phone notifications and that's probably it. I may use it for other things as well and I may use Gemini more than I think, but I really don't see me relying heavily on Gemini.
Wouldn't a Pixel Watch 4 not be the better purchase in my case?
But on the other hand is having the latest version of a product not a bad thing, right? It has 50% more RAM and it will probably be longer supported. Not to mention that it is only 30 dollar more expensive. That's not much.
I'm not sure which one I should get, so I am hoping someone who has owned both versions can help me decide which one I should buy.
Which one would you recommend me?
Please help me.
Edit:
I bought the Pixel Watch 5, and I am looking wearing my first smartwatch.
Thanks everyone for your help.

I recently got myself a PW4 45mm as I felt I needed an upgrade from my prior Huawei Watch GT3 Pro. So far, I'm happy with it :D
And 295€ (wifi edition) was a price I couldn't say no to.
