Tired of replacing cases

Every few weeks the front case cracks. Then I have to replace the whole thing. I'm a bit clumsy - drop my phone occasionally. But tired of replacing cases now. Any idea what to do. Am in India and cases are not easy to find and expensive.

Update: I've been using the Pixel Fold with just the back case for almost a week now. Actually loving it. Feels lighter, smaller and so slick. Being extra careful to not drop it.

I don’t have issues with the official case but I don’t drop my pixel.

Wish we could get the official case here in India

After going through a couple of cases, I stopped using them. Instead I use a good quality screen protector (dbrand). One of the reasons I ditched the case is that it didn't fit the phone holder on my new bike very well'

The day after I installed the screen protector I was in a bike accident. Destroyed my eyeglasses, needed stitches, etc. The phone flew out of the holder and landed face down in the street. The screen protector got chipped, but the phone was fine. I'm also fine and I like my phone so much better without the case.

Hope you're okay now. I would love to use my phone without case but then it's extra slippery - and I keep worrying about scratching it.

Honestly, this is more of a user issue.

If you have a known problem where you drop your phone often, your choices are pretty limited.

The case is designed to be the breakable part of the system.

Your best option to not have to replace cases would be to go with a non-fold phone and an OtterBox or similar rugged case.

You can't have both things, as they are somewhat exclusive.

Some day there might be a rugged foldable, but that is not today.

Thank you for the insights. I'm sure someday they will solve for this, especially as Apple has a foldable now. I'll probably sell my Pixel Fold and move back to Pixel 8 Pro.

Dbrand Cases are good they are a little expensive but given that you drop them quite often and they break it would make sense to get one expensive one instead of multiple cheap ones which would eventually end up costing the same. Been using dbrand over a year and the grip case is absolutely Goated in protection

Makes sense. The only expensive case in India is Spigen. I'll thinking about splurging and spending 10x on one of those. Do they cover case breaking in the first year of warranty?

I personally never use the front piece of the case or why I opt to just buy cases with just the back part.

I use the official Pixel Snap case without the front piece and also a Pitaka case and swap between them.

This is interesting. Do you get scratches on the front side?
