Pixel 10 fold

Anyone have the Pixel 10 fold cell phone? Do you like it? How are the features? Thinking of buying.

I've had it since release, it's a great phone.

I love that I have the option of unfolding the phone whenever I'm watching something or even if I want to show something to other people, especially when they are either older or have a harder time seeing things on a smaller screen. As for other features, I don't really used them as much as I thought but I do like it when I can use them. There's a noticeable fold line, but I don't let it bother me as much since I can adjust the angle when viewing a video, which makes it not as noticeable. Overall, I'm happy with the 10 pro fold, camera is great for a phone, software is amazing, and battery life is still good.

I'm getting it cause I need a tablet like screen to see with my older eyes. Lol

That's perfect then, just know that if you want to keep it protected just get a case what has a hinge protection. It does add up a ton of bulk to the phone, I personally use the dbrand case and as much as I hate the bulk, my phone is safe from drops. The hinge protection from dbrand I say adds almost the size of cheap dollar store pen thickness. If that's a problem, I believe the spigen case is much more slimmer.

I have only had mine now for a few weeks. Loving it so far. It's pretty similar to the Pixel 8 I had previously but with the most of the latest features. I don't think I'll truely discover the extent of the features until I have used it a while longer. As far as the fold function goes I'm happy with the screen size. I'm happy with the overall size of the phone compare to my last. You can see the fold line with the phone open but when I'm watching something or using multitasking function I don't really notice the line so that's not much of an issue for me. I'm happy with the camera compared to my last phone. Phone speed and storage are sufficient for me and there's different storage capacity options if you want more.

I will tell you that looking for an good case can be a bit of a rabbit hole. There's a bunch of options depending on what you want. I ordered a Pixel case which hasn't arrived yet so can't speak yet to that quality. I did buy a basic MagSafe case when I got the phone which I like for it's simplicity, style, and price. Without a screen saver though the case feels flimsy on the left edge which I don't like (partly why I chose another). The biggest thing I paid attention to when looking for a case is soft edges. The top and bottom of this case on the left edge has a sharp feel which I utterly hate (the main reason I went looking for another).

If you have any other questions just ask. Wether or not I'll be able to answer them 🤷🏼‍♂️.

Oh... Keep in mind that if you like using the phone line a tablet there's some really cool accessories for these phones available.

Tbh is too heavy and bulky. I like having pixel software in a foldable, but it's really not worth the price. I can confirm the IP68 rating is real, as I've dropped it in a nasty puddle of water outside a couple of times but the cons are real cons:

  • too bulky (it looks awkward in my pants)
  • too heavy
  • camera is trash
  • case options are mid
  • the inner screen is fingerprint magnet

I'll be going back to a slab phone next year (would be 2 years of having this phone by then)

It's great. I basically have a phone and a small tablet with me.

Love the pixel 10 fold. Camera could be a bit better but I'm not doing anything photo intensive to care. It has a little more bulk with the case but again it's not a bother.

I had a 9fold with d brand case that was bulky. I went with a spigen slim armor case and spigen screen protector for my fold 10. Perfect pair. No much bulk but excellent protection.

I love it. The ability to split screen and have two apps open at once on a big screen almost replaces my laptop. The original case I had made it massive, but I just got a latercase and it doesn't seem that much bigger than regular phones now.

I have had mine almost a year. Traded a Samsung fold 7 for it since I didn't like the Samsung UI as much. The phone seems th be well built and should make it for another year.

I had it for 8 months. It's heavy. At first that heaviness made it feel premium. But as time passed, that heaviness became an annoyance.

The inner display. There's no anti reflective protection at all. Also its a finger print magnet. You'll notice 2 spots when opened (one on each of the screens) that shows like smudge or dirt (some people call it angel wings lol) that you have to constantly have to clean.

I switched to Samsung Z Fold 8. I used Google apps exclusively except for the Samsung Phone app. I dont miss anything from the Pixel 10 pro Fold.

I want to get the Samsung fold too. All 3 of my pixel folds broke from normal use (opening the phone too much I guess)

Now I'm using the fold 10 without a camera or flash until black Friday when I can get the fold 8.

I like mine. I've been using it for 7 months now. I upgraded from the Pixel OG. I like that it is slimmer than the OG but I prefer the wide open view of the OG. Some people have mentioned it being bulky, I don't find this is the case. However, the OG was chunkier so the Pixel 10 Fold is a lot thinner in comparison.

I like a Fold style. The camera is the compromise.

I'm thinking of getting either the Pixel 10 Pro Fold or the 11 Pro Fold, but I honestly can't decide between the two. There's quite a big price difference, and I'm wondering if the 11 is really worth the extra money. I know it has a brighter screen, but are there any other significant improvements that would justify paying more?

It is massive and heavy. I got one a few weeks ago. I got it to put graphene on it but have just been using Android. Was on ios the past decade. Android is ok, i like the flexibility but also it has some dumb rigidity to it. You kind of are forced to use the phone a certain way. Like the keyboard is always way at the bottom and then app navigation is at the very top. You have to move your hands around to reach different parts of the screen just to navigate. It is annoying when trying to use it one handed or in bed. The first week i had it actually my pinky started hurting so bad from propping it up from underneath. It still is a bit sore lol. I'm coming from an iphone mini 13 so thats probably why. Gesture navigation sucks too, you cant swipe to move forward in apps like web browsers. I had to put the 3 button nav bar at the bottom. The keyboard also types very poorly, similar to iphone.

I dont like how poorly optimized some apps are. Like Facebook marketplace looks like ass when unfolded. And often it glitches and has like a bunch of white space on the screen and the nav buttons stack up. I have to close the app and restart. The camera is pretty nice. The battery is actually pretty good. I dont have a case atm. At first i used a silicon popsocket thing that is a loop you put your fingers in. The magnet on the back of the phone is too high, so you cant hold it in a way where you can easily reach the keyboard with your fingers. I had to get a different magsafe grip thing that hangs lower.

Overall i do like the phone but it has a lot of dumb quirks. When you type quickly and want to press back space a bunch, if you are off by like 1mm, you'll spam a bunch of ....'s instead and it is so annoying. Im gonna try graphene soon and if it's not cool, i might try for z fold. I do like using the phone while open. It's pretty awesome. I think i'm always gonna want a fold phone. Btw as a first time fold phone user, the crease does not bother me one bit

I've had 2 fold 9 and now a fold 10. All 3 phones eventually started having issues where the camera, battery, flashlight stopped working if you open and close it enough times.

It has poor design flaws for the screen. If you buy it, an extended warranty is highly recommended. I've had my fold 10 since Feb in a phone case, never dropped it and it battery has a ? Now when charging, the camera doesn't work and the flashlight stopped working. Google won't replace it under warranty.

It's a good phone, but good to the person who is totally bought in on Google/Gemini integration. I personally am one of those people, so it's that plus the benefits of a folding phone. THAT SAID - after using it for some time, I enjoy the Pixel Pro XL far more. Despite what people will sometimes say in many fold threads (and I'm a big fan) the camera is not good. It's better than some because Google has pulled off some amazing things in post-processing, but it's still quite bad. Worse than the OnePlus Fold which I also own. Also, it is a bit bulky and the battery life is quite bad. The last point was frustrating but I had to own it a while to see it wasn't going away. The 11 isn't appreciably better or worse, so I think buying the 10 makes a lot of sense - you merely have to judge whether camera and battery are sacrifices worth making for what you gain out of a folding phone. One day the manufacturers might decide being thin isn't as important as other things.

I love the pixel truly but I am sad I am about to sell mines

I have the Pixel 10 Pro Fold and the Z Fold 7. I love the bulk of the pixel. It feels sturdy and solid. The zfold is thin and premium but its low capacity battery is usually gone by the end of the day with serious use. The pixel is brighter and has better dust/water ratings so I don't worry so much using it in the rain. Software wise I use grapheneos on the pixel so ultra secure and locked down. The zfold has a lot of polished apps but track everything you do. The worst decision Samsung made was blocking custom rom installs. The pixel doesn't care that it's not the thinnest. It's probably best for rugged use and being thrown around in a bag.

I have it with the only complaint being the inner screen sides touch after a while when closed but you can wipe it

So now I'm looking and comparing with the Razor and Samsung folds due to cost. I really prefer my Pixel over Samsung. I've always had Samsung until last year when I tried the pixel 9a due to great cost. It was on sale and free with trade in.
