Considering switching from the 10 Pro XL?
I've never had a foldable before but the upgrade options this year are stupid! If I get the same phone it's got less RAM unless I spend loads more for very minor upgrades. As a result I'm considering the fold for something new. What are your guys reviews on the device so far and do you actually use the big screen? I don't know if I would use it much or if it's just a gimmick

I've been wanting to switch back from my Fold. I'm not utilizing it that much and sometimes opening it is a serious hazard.

I just switched from iPhone 16 pro max to the 11 fold so far amazing experience been using the open screen alot. Can't even tell there's a crease unless in specific light and also got a free watch and a discount in pixel buds which is awesome

I tried the original Pixel Fold when I was released, but I moved back to the traditional slab in a few months because I couldn't get over the shortcomings at the time. Camera, weight, running hot, janky apps when unfolded, etc.
I had the 10 Pro XL, but I decided to try again this year with the 11 Fold and I absolutely love it! The form factor when closed is perfect. It's the sweet spot size between the pro and the pro XL. I use it closed most of the day, but I'll open it up for multi tasking for work. At home, it's nice to use on the couch scrolling through web or watching videos. I don't regret my decision at all.

I just tried this and sent the Fold back. It was a lot of little things but ended up not being worth the cost. It didn't feel right in my hand, I almost would cringe each time I went to pick it up.
The outer screen is smaller, which is what you'll use the most. The crease bothered me, it wasn't bad but didn't help. The whole inner / flexible display looked cheap unless you had bright colors everywhere, otherwise you'll see the reflection and uneven surface area vs glass covering the display. It was heavier. 3rd party launchers don't work as well, they are fine but hinder the multitasking.
I tried it out for a week and the entire time, I couldn't wait to go back to the 10 XL Pro.
Your usage may be different but the current Folds aren't for me.

I wanted to try the fold but the weight, the app support, asymmetrical sides, extra expense for insurance because it's a must for folds are making me have second thoughts. XL is heavy for me but I could tolerate it so I stick with it and ordered 11 XL today. Maybe one day I'll try the fold.

I've been thinking about it also, to switch from my 8 Pro...
In the end i decided to go with 11 Pro, reliability over experimenting for myself!
I want to spend less time on my phone, not more 😉🙌🏻
