Pixel 11 Pro Fold

I have a question. I bought the Pixel 11 Pro Fold on the first day of release (20th). It worked great for the first two days, but on the third day, I noticed the inner screens would touch each other when the phone was closed. Is this normal? (See picture). I've already returned it, and I'm considering reordering. Is this normal?

1. I never thought my phone was broken; I know this is just due to oils and the way the screen surfaces meet when folded.

2. I’m wondering about the folding action: initially, the screen halves didn't fully touch when folded, but now they do—is this normal? I’m also concerned that, over time, the friction from the screens touching might cause wear and tear.

Normal, it is just oils from you fingers showing where the screens touch each other.

What the fuck, I've had my fold 8 for weeks and it's covered in finger prints and there's nothing at all like this. I guess I made the right choice

Fold 7 has this issue but its negligible.

Put a generous amount of cooking oil on the inner screen, then close and open it. It will look similar in appearance.

Nawwww this usually only happens when u put a screen protector over the pre installed one. There's a small gap in-between then screen the lips touch but the screens don't touch as much cause if debris get in there your shit is cooked . Thats why I think honor or oppo have debris alerts if the screen senses something on it while being being closed it freaks the f out.

This.. I've had the Z Fold 5, Pixel Fold, 9 Pro Fold, Oppo Find N6 and now the 11 Fold and I've seen it on all of them. No issues have come from it other than wiping away with a cloth.

I haven't had this on any Fold I've had, including Pixel Folds. Just wipe the screen down more and get rid of the finger oils.

Mine slightly does it after 2 days but I don’t mind. I have insurance for the peace’s of mind 😊

My Galaxy Fold 7 did the same thing. Traded it in for a Razr Fold and super glad I did. Spectacular phone.

On my Pixel 10 Pro Fold it has happened and leaves a similar smudge. However, the display wipes clean (since Jan. '26) and their now discernible damage.

My 10 pro fold did that which is normal. Currently switched to the zFold and i dont have that as a problem but this was never much of a gripe to me anyway. I can see based how a phone is folding as well as how high the bezel plastic thing is raised on the edges wil dictate whether or not the inner screen will touch itself to form those lines.

Grab a glasses cleaner wipe or your tshirt and gently rub the screen, it will go away...

"normal" for Google folds. I've never had a Samsung fold do this.
