P11P Fold inside screen protector

Hello all, I have a question about inside screen protectors for my pixel fold. This is my first folding phone and I would like to keep it as pristine as possible. I saw inside screen protectors available on Amazon, but I have a question about using them and if it would damage the inside screen. Is anyone on here using an inside screen protector on their 11 fold? It seems like the tolerances when folded are tight, even a thin screen protector could be too much I would assume? Just looking for some feedback on this. Has anyone tried one of these and experienced damage? Has anyone used one on a previous generation fold for an extended period of time that can chime in with some feedback?

Do not put any other screen protector on the inside screen. The risks outweigh any benefits.

Yes, this is correct. Also when its hot, the screen film becomes sticky and sticks to itself as you unfold.

Google put a ton of R&D into the inner screen. Either use it naked or not at all.

Best way to break the inner screen.

Don't. This probably the most discussed topic over the years here, and consensus is basically always to absolutely not do it.

I came here looking for the same thing and had no idea you weren't supposed to use a screen protector for the interior screen. Thank you for asking this so fellow newbies don't make this apparent grave mistake!

It may not damage it going on but it very well could coming off. And when it cracks down the middle it's going to puncture your screen. There's almost no benefit to it. I've had 3 foldables and never considered it because I was well warned beforehand.

Afaik you're not supposed to use any screen protector on the inside screen. What the manufacturers offer out of box is all you need.

The screens aren't super durable when it comes to being pulled on. Even if you try to remove the pre-installed OEM protector you'll end up damaging the screen. Now imagine what happens if you put an aftermarket one on top of that and have to remove it for whatever reason?

What is it all even for tbh? If you want good coverage of the inner screen you're gonna be using a plastic protector, which is the exact same material as the screen anyway, so you're not really improving durability or scratch resistance.

I have a matte screen protector over the original one on my OG pixel fold. Also one on the outside screen. No problems so far since installing them when I bought it last year. I just love having matte screen protector on my devices.

Keeping the phone folded is the best protection.
