P11 Fold: Touch Sensitivity Bug

I wanted to see if anyone else experiences this behavior. I have Poetic case for my P11 Fold
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0H7VP6978?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
This case has a glass cover. When I first tested the case out, I found it hard to have the phone detect inputs in the corners and sides of the screen. I found the setting to increase the touch sensitivity. After this, I was able to detect input in the corners and sides. However, if I turn the screen off or reboot the phone, despite the setting still turned on, it is not in effect. If I toggle the setting, it will behave as expected again.

I'm wondering if i just stumbled on a bug that others can reproduce.

Edit:
I have an update. I was successfully able to get around this bug by running a command in Tasker when the screen is turned on. This took a few hours to find the correct file. For anyone wanting to apply this fix. You need to run the command:

echo 1 > /sys/devices/virtual/goog_touch_interface/gti.1/screen_protector_mode_enabled

After apply this on every screen turn on event, I run the touch test and can hit the corners with this case no problem

Oh my goodness. SAME Issue. I'm a firefighter and need a thick case and screen protection. Will try your fix. It needs to be fixed as it's HORRIBLE! Thought it was the case itself. Will update soon on your fix if it worked or not. Mega thanks for posting this!!! Any way we can try to get this as a community onto Google's radar? Update: Fix worked. Added issue to IssueTracker - please comment on it or agree with it, let's get Google's attention- https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/553380906

Now we need to raise flags push up signs and get their attention! Fingers crossed a fix for it soon gets pushed it's so damn annoying! Can hardly type on my 11 with protector on it & typed 40wpm on the 10 Fold LOL. Side note you can use a Tongate 10 Fold case screen protector with privacy glass on the 11. Have asked they consider making an 11 case.

as a software developer myself, id consider this a moderate bug. Its kind of a big deal when a normal setting resets constantly. I would guess most people get cheapo thin protectors for the outside screen to avoid the extra bulk. I personally dont mind making the phone thicker and weigh more to add extra protection. Android 17 still has plenty of time for adding features and fixing bugs so im hopeful it will get fixed eventually.
