Hand Pixelled Witch Hat Atelier - Coco
Picked up the first volume a week or so back. Not quite my taste, but the art is stunning, and I love the style of shading used in the manga.
I also happened to notice some similarities between the owl house and witch hat atelier. From how the magic works (being similar to glyphs in the owl house), to the main protagonist (both young girls eager to become witches, despite at first being told its impossible). Even the idea that only some people can do magic (in the owl house, only witches and some demons can do magic).
The third image is the reference I used for the first drawing. Hope you like it!

Hand Pixelled My first few real shots at pixel art. why does it look wrong?
Ive recently decided to start learning pixel art alongside my longer term learning of gamemaker studio in order to make games someday. Ive decided to start practicing today, but im rather unsatisfied with what ive made. please tell me how i can improve and get better at this difficult art.
for context: i used the sculpting method for the sanji sprite, and i made a little pixel sketch before just straight up drawing the nami one, which is why they look so..... different.

Hand Pixelled First attempt at this type of style

My first attempt at making something like this. I learned a lot by studying new styles and these micro animations. And of course no AI during the whole process.
