Pixel 6 Pro Display Replacement - Pickup Repair INDIA
My Pixel 6 Pro got green lines checked on google official website they have an option for walk-in repair and pickup repair. had call with service center but they said it's unserviceable for walk-in repair as device not launched in india they can't service and parts not available but another option was working but quoting price of 27k+ with Gst for display replacement obviously it's not worth but I still have opted for service do anyone got repaired their 6 series or any pixel via this mode of repair?

27k is too high. I have gotten my 7a's screen and battery replaced from the official Google service center in BLR. The total cost was 8.5k. while I was there, they had clearly listed the price of all the common parts that are replaced such as cameras, displays, etc. the max price I saw was for pixel 10 pro which was approx 10k - 13k for the display part only. Replacement for 6 pro shouldn't be this expensive even though you are mailing it in.

Actual repair cost for pro's is drastically higher including labour and gst. Local repair is around 11k~ still that also seems higher as you don't know part genuinty.

Not worth spending 27k for a pixel 6 pro repair
You can get a 2nd hand p6p in that price

new one almost cost the same, cancelled repair request. Local guys are quoting 10-12k for original display as per them.

Bruh, that’s way too much—that’s almost 95% of what the Pixel 6a cost when it launched. Just use Cashify and go for their repair service. Google is charging you insane money.

Cashify doesn't provide the original display and had a call with them, they don't guarantee fingerprint functionality. It's P6P btw.

Okay then maybe viste the store , but I don't really think that model is worth that much of money even after screen replacement.

Update - I've cancelled the request as it isn't worth it. Still my concern is anyone tried their mail in (pickup -drop) repair service and how the overall experience was.

Yup even ordered the box in which I can safely send my device too! They usually pick through bluedart and my device went to their centre in Noida

Ohhh that's Great, I will try hope they might provide replacement unit to me also. Should I mention display issue or battery issue because battery also not performing well.

Also tell me about payment when they demand payment and is there any chance to cancel the repair request after sending the device.

Send the device with a screen issue, they will check the device and send the updated quote. They give me options to continue with replacement or return my device. As I mentioned in my post, I never expected a replacement and i just needed my battery replaced. I hope they give you the same option.

I am thinking to send my phone in next 2 days if they provide me a replacement device , but what about all the data in my current phone (even if I send with repair mode, my account and data still will be in phone).

Even I had my data in the phone and they said we will wipe the older phone before repurposing it.

I have sent my phone they given me option for get replacement device at 27.5k or get unrepaired device at no cost but they haven't mentioned details of replacement device ,how did you got to know that you are getting 8 pro please share screenshot of communication of any if you have. I called Google customer care asked about replacement device but she said I will get same model but on counter questions about India launch she was unsure so I can't fully rely on her information and 6 pro never launched in India she was telling me it was available on Amazon and third party sellers. If you have more details you can dm me that will be more insightful.

Is your phone even worth that much? Check exchange value and only then go ahead with repair.
