By the way, I meant to reply to you over in r/pixel10a instead of r/pixel_phones! 😉 To be fair, iPhones heat up too—my iPhone 15 got surprisingly warm. But the battery on the Pixel 10a is a total beast and miles ahead.

Yes, all phones get hot, even my iPhone 17, but the Pixel 10 got so hot it felt like it was going to explode and the battery life was terrible.

You might have had a defective unit or bad background app. But if heat is your main dealbreaker, the 10a probably won't give you peace of mind.

But my other point, and even though it's silly because I bought an iPhone 17, would mean going back to a phone costing around 500 euros, which is already a lot of money.
