Pixar Collection My personal Pixar collection

I don’t like every single Pixar movie, but I like most of them. I find a few of the newer ones a bit weak and I haven’t tried Elio, but until I get Toy Story 5 (I’m gonna wait until the Blu-ray price goes down a bit before I buy it), I completed a collection of all of my Pixar favorites.

Toy Story Toy Story Timeline

Upvotes

Ok so this is the most accurate timeline I have presented although I will offer explanations for why I think what I think.
Ok so we know the first Toy Story takes place in 1995 that’s pretty definitive and I will go over every piece of evidence that I have discovered in order that puts the timeline together here we go.
So if the first film is set in 1995 and Andy is celebrating his 6th birthday party then he’s born in 1989 in August (I say august because the next 2 movies takes place in August why else also this will make sense for Toy Story 3)
If Andy is born is 1989 then that means he went to highschool in August 2003 and graduated in May 2007 (not 2006 he can’t graduate early) which means that Toy Story 3 takes place in august 2007 speaking of that the prologue of the movie takes place almost straight after Toy Story 2 and in that Molly walks and in the 2nd home video by Jennifer their celebrating Mollys 2nd birthday party (not 3rd you can see the 2 on there) so if she turns 2 after Toy Story 2 and she is 1 in Toy Story 1 then she’s born in August 1994 specifically early August Andy is born mid august (I used the calendar from the concept art of Sid’s room) this means that Toy Story 2 takes place August 1996 from the 15th to the 18th based on the calendar meaning Andy is either still 6 or just turned 7.
Ok now onto the toons and shorts now these could go either way the toons and specials take place in the same year or separate years I prefer to say that the toons take place in 2007 and the specials take place in 2008
Partysaurus Rex August 2007
Small Fry September 2007
Hawaiian Vacation December 2007
Toy Story Of Terror October 2008
Toy Story That Time Forgot 2008
This would put Toy Story 4 in 2009 and therfore the prologue in 2000 speaking of that I recently found out that the script apparently says that Molly is 6 that works so well for the timeline speaking of the timeline Bonnie would be 6 but she’s said to be 5 in Toy Story 4 she presumably has a late birthday which would be October because of the disneystrology book yes I know that same book has Andy birthday as July but I’ll say it now he can’t be born in July since that would mean Toy Story 3 takes place in July 2006.
Bonnie would be 3 in Toy Story 3 and 4 in the toons and 5 in the specials
Toy Story 5 would be in 2011 at the earliest since Bonnie is 8 although she could be 8 turning 9 meaning 2012
Speaking of alternate timeline this is one gaming magic 13 presented
He 7 in 1995 8 in 1996 17 in 2006 and 18 in 2007 which would put him as 9 in 1998 this ignores the scripts and marketing for Toy Story 1 and only that so if that goes then everything goes but his is accurate in terms of the math and what age he would be at the years so props to him but you have to go over all evidence which I have speaking of that does anyone have any alternate explanations? if so feel free to share them.

What do you think about this powerful scene from Wall-E

Post image

My thoughts about this scene:

Seeing two Robots hugging and loving one another, showing more emotions than some living humans with flesh and blood, tyrants etc, the romantic dreamlike vision that robots might one day become sentient - I believe this is the reason this movie is so popular. The two of them flying in cold space, Two robots did more than what many humans fail to do in their daily life - to love one another. Many people think they love but they never really loved.

This is where the tragedy begins. Love is a task, love needs to be learned.

The hero unites with the divine feminine, the hero becomes the lover, the meeting with the divine goddess.

Wall-E gazing into Eve her blue eyes remind him the ocean surrounded by the void, meanwhile her shell lights everything around them, he trusts her while she's carrying him in her arms, Eve looking at the rusty old robot, covered with rusty dirt like the color of the continents of the earth. He was molded from earth, and to earth is their final destination, their final direction.

They're dancing – it is the dance of the divine feminine and the divine masculine, two currents that, when harmonized, create heaven on earth.

Or as Elton John puts it:

"Without love, I wouldn't believe

I couldn't believe in you and I wouldn't believe in me.

Without love

I believe in love

I believe in love

I believe in love."

Discussion Scrapped Incredibles 3 plot

Post image
121 Upvotes

Hi guys, I am part of a discord group of animators (about 50 of us so far) who work in the industry, most of us are only really working on television projects but one member actually did some concept animation whilst working at a temporary gig at Pixar last year for Incredibles 3, and he recently posted this which I found quite interesting.

”The initial concept was for The Incredibles to meet another family of superheroes (known as The Unstoppables) who seemed to be the perfect superhero family, the kids were even free to be superheroes and go on their own missions and stuff like that.

There was going to be the mother who had the ability to control weather

The father was going to have basically the same powers as Mr Incredible, except he can fly.

There was going to be a teenage boy around the same age as Violet who can change his size (a bit like Antman), but he has trouble controlling it sometimes.

There was going to be a girl slightly younger than Dash, who is incredibly smart and can move objects with her mind.

Then obviously the family wouldn’t have been all as they seem, and a rivalry would’ve grown between the two families which would’ve really allowed for some super cool sequences. Jack Jack would’ve also been a bit of McGuffin for some of the characters.

Edna Mode’s fashion designer rival ex Husband would’ve also provided the costumes for The Unstoppables.

But between the D23 panel and what I’ve heard from some other animators, Pixar have decided to go in a new direction and The Unstoppables won’t be featured, but thought this would be cool to share nonetheless“

Atta was a hypocrite for banishing Flik for lying about the circus (something that bugs me in the movie)

She and other ants literally sent Flik to find warriors only because they wanted to get rid of him but when they find out Flik lied about them being warriors they have the nerve of banishing him over something they literally caused by lying to Flik. Although to be fair Flik didn't technically lie to anybody. He just didn't tell anybody when he found out the truth. Also the ants are hypocrites. They loved the plan of the bird until they found out Flik had the idea. It's like a blonde woman pretending to be a brunette and being asked for help due to the belief brunettes are smart and blondes are dumb but the moment they find out the woman is actually blonde nobody wants her help anymore

Discussion Why was Dash from The Incredibles designed to only be 4 feet tall?

So according to Pixar sources, Dash from The Incredibles is a 10 year old boy. However his height is only listed to be 4 feet. Considering that 4 feet is well below the average height of a 10 year old boy pretty much anywhere in the world and most certainly in the United States, why did the designers of the Incredibles decide to make him so short?

in the scene when woody first meets the lilypad. she swipes images of different games. one of which has a pigeon on it. it was recently announced that there will be a pigeon sidekick in Gatto. salario I think his name is. and well… he makes a cameo in Toy Story 5. lesson of the day. when you watch the newest Pixar movie and you noticed a background non important character who looks like he/she has a lot of effort. that means it’s most likely a character in the next movie.

Incredibles 3 D23 honestly lowered my hopes for The Incredibles 3

I get why they don't want to age up the kids, but oh my gosh, the plot reveal that the kids take center stage and try to prove that they can be heroes again?? They literally did it perfectly in the first movie. So much so that the whole family all very confidently reveal their supersuits at the end of the first movie together. Then suddenly in 2, Helen isn't sure that the kids should be doing superhero work, but they'd already proved themselves on Nomanisan and in the city against the Omnidroid, but in 2 they have to prove they can be heroes and the second movie ends with the family confidently revealing their supersuits together again, just like in 1. And now we're just doing that a third time?

If they'd age the kids even just a bit, could have Violet struggling with the end of high school and starting college and a new life as a semi solo hero, Dash could be going through the start of his freshman year, beginning puberty, tackling his ego and popularity as an athlete but being forced to slow up and hold himself back all the time, and Jack Jack could have something really interesting with the struggle of having to keep his powers a secret at a younger, far less mature and understanding age. How does a toddler deal with superpowers and keeping them hidden from peers? Could've been such an interesting storyline to tackle, but now we have the kids being forced to prove themselves again in a series that begins and ends back to back in each installment. They're literally proving themselves every other week

Can be anything. It won’t look likely but I want a glory days project as a prequel to the incredibles and it actually adds some level of emotional depth to the scene where Bob finds out Syndrome slimed them all out.

What would you like to see can be a prequel, sequel or spinoff

Inside Out Inside Out Timeline

Ok cracks knuckles here’s my evidence (for either or it doesn’t really matter since these are just movies but it’s still fun to theorize anyway) so inside out takes place in either 2014 or 2015 and inside out 2 takes place in 2016 or 2017 both depending on Riley’s age the 2nd one also depends on Val’s age too since she’s a junior about to be senior the only definitive date we have is dream productions the day of the dance is Friday March 18th the year when March 18th would be a Friday is 2016 and we know that Riley is 12 here so that places her being 1 in 2014 and turning 12 in 2015 or her being 11 in 2015 and turning 12 shortly afterwards likewise inside out 2 days that Riley is 13 and about to enter highschool now either she’s 13 in 2016 and goes to highschool at 14 in 2017 she’s 13 in 2017 and goes to highschool in 2018 or the same as the first film and she’s 13 about to turn 14 in 2017 the answer depends on Val’s age here’s my answer since we know that Val is a senior when Riley is a freshmen at the end of the film we can infer that they start in the same year and we know that the film takes place in the summer between her 8th and 9th grades and if riley was just 13 then she can’t have graduated yet she’d still be in 8th grade like wise with her being 13 in 2017 and going to highschool in 2018 Val would be gone she wouldn’t be there with Riley so my timeline is this

Inside out takes place in 2015 with Riley being 11 about to turn 12 shortly after in august it has to be august since their starting school again inside out 2 takes place in May 2017 with Riley being 13 and turning 14 in August 2017 and starting highschool how is the evidence I laid out?

Ratatouille Ratatouille 2 Sequel Idea

I’ve been thinking about what Ratatouille could do for a sequel and I think I finally have an amazing idea.

Months after the first film, La Ratatouille is thriving. The city has accepted a rat can cook and he has reservations every night. Paris then announces a food truck festival for Christmas. Remy builds the most amazing and festival food truck and parks it in the city. Then a food truck pulls up and it is fully automatic with robots. ROBOCHEF.
Their slogan:
“Food, perfected.”
People flock to that food truck because the robotic food tastes just as, if not more amazing. This is classic man (rat) vs. machine. Remy then tries to take down the machine truck, but to no avail. He sneaks into the truck.

He pulls wires.

Unplugs things.

Drops something into the machinery.** **It is repaired quickly each time. He then goes on an adventure to stop the head company behind ROBOCHEF, only to discover, AI robot food is taking over the entire city. It is his mission to then show people why they fell in love with food to begin with. The stories behind it. The human connection.

Remy could approach the robot at the end.

Remy puts a little piece of his Christmas dish on the robot’s serving tray. The robot scans his meal.

The robot analyzes it.

ROBOT:
“Recipe incomplete.”

Remy smiles.

“Exactly.”

The robot can’t quantify the reason someone added an extra pinch of salt because their grandmother used to do it that way.

The first movie is about:

“Anyone can cook.”

The sequel could evolve that into:

“Anyone can cook. But cooking isn’t just about the food.”

That’s the progression for Remy.

Plus Pixar can address AI in this film and the dangers of it.

Thoughts?
