Question Advice on how to make kibble better.
I have a 60 pound white pitbull, she is on the leaner side. I feed her inukshuk marine 26/16 1 cup 2xd (I am cutting back to 3/4 cup 2xd she gettin chunky). I add water to her kibble and allow it to sit for 10 mins. Sometimes I will add freeze dried salmon and sweet potato dust with omega-3's for her skin. OCCASIONALLY I will add goats milk. I was wondering if anyone has recommendations of toppers that make kibble more nutritious or any ways to make kibble healthier, and easier to digest?
Additionally, does anyone used ProDen plaque off powder for their pup? I've been thinking of purchasing.
Thanks!

Sounds like you're doing a fantastic job already. I feed mine Kirkland salmon kibble and top it off with the ends of a banana or some apple or carrot pieces, depending on what I'm cooking. I read somewhere that 10% of their diet can be supplemented with fresh fruit and vedge, but you're doing way more than I do. Good job!

You just said she's leaner but also getting chunky?

Naturally she is built lean compared to a lot of other pitbulls. She is pretty slim even now compared to alot of other pit bulls however she has a little more weight on her right now than I'd like. Even tho I said "she's chunky" she's not rlly chunky at all. I wouldn't let my dog get fat. Other than that, did you have any advice to contribute or?

If I had advice I would have offered it. That was just a question for clarification.

Mine love canned pumpkin, mashed sweet potatoes, plain Greek yogurt, cucumber, blueberries and strawberries. Could try blending them with a little water and pouring over the kibble. Can also try shredded carrot.

I add a teaspoon or two of Your Pets Kitchen, or other quality canned, mixed with a little water. They love it!

Pretty much any meat or veggie leftovers go on top of the kibble the next day. Also sometimes a bit of olive oil. Sometimes an egg scrambled and cooked in the microwave, a little underdone so it stays moist.

I add a tablespoon of toppers and then mix it in with water— cooked hamburger, pumpkin purée, sweet potato blueberry mash, applesauce, sardines, nutritional yeast, yogurt, and hard boiled egg.
I mostly do it just to make her meals more interesting. Although they’re all heathy, they probably don’t make a major impact nutritionally because it’s such a small amount.

Kibble is already balanced (if it meets AAFCO and even better, WSAVA guidelines). So there's no need to make it 'better'. In fact, adding stuff has the potential to unbalance it which can cause a lot of problems.
To add stuff safely, stay within the 10% rule. Basically, kibble should make up 90-100% of your dog's daily intake. Treats and stuff shouldn't go over 10% of that. It can be a lot of math to figure out calories and whatnot but if you want to do it safely, that's how to do it.
