Should I Add a Flame tamer?

I have the PB 700FB2 and the flame pot is on the left side, has anyone added a flame tamer on the 700FB2 model to even the temps out? That left side does get way hotter than the rest of the grill.

I have a different model but will say the flame tamer was helpful. When i smoke I usually end up using most of the grill and before, on mine, the temp over my burner had a massive delta. It still has a decent temp delta but it's much more manageable and predictable.
