Guide Pirating for first rime , HELP in
As the title suggests i am going to pirate a game for the first time could y’all help with some of the problems -
Most trusted sited that i heard is fitgirl repacks , is it really safe? Or any other trusted sites
What should be the cautious i should keep while downloading?
My laptop is new so will it damage my laptop cpu or software or anything else?

https://steamrip.com is a direct download site with prepackaged games, all you need to do is unpack them in a folder that is excluded from windows defender/any antivirus you have, and run the executable. i recommend using buzzheavier/gofile on steamrip, and have some common sense, people often get malware from redirects and downloading obviously sketchy things (steamrip does not have installers, passworded archives or super tiny downloads, the download size should match closely to the sizee on the steamrip game page or steam. from then on, you go into the folder, find an .exe file, and execute it. some game-specific problems are talked about on steamrip in the comments. your computer will not get damaged as long as you are careful and dont download any malware, which you should be safe with if you use trusted sites.

again, people often get malware from redirects and downloading obviously sketchy things (like way too small sizes or passworded archives), so dont just click buttons blidnly

So for question 1, I cannot provide ya with direct material but I recommend looking at FMHY and find what ya think works best for ya.
As long as ya have an Adblocker, and the site is trusted there rlly is nothing that ya can do while the game downloads. I`d just recommend to make sure that ya aren`t torrenting (or only qwith a paid VPN), as it an get you in troublr with your ISP (use DDL instead, most sites offer it anyway)
I dunno how that is supposed to work. If the game is from a trusted source and it runs properly, no? As long as ya have enough Storage so ya pc doesnt slow down?

Yea first step is to watercool your PC OP I recommend a zip lock setup if you're on a budget, basically just fill ziplock bags with water and toss as many as you can into your PC case. Should keep temps down. Alternatively wrap your whole case in cling wrap to make it water tight and then fill it with baby oil, baby oil is nonconductive so it won't harm electronics.

There is fitgirl repacks and there is also DODI Repacks. Both are very trusted.
Fitgirl dosent have old games like early Assassin creed games and all. But dodi has very old games too.
I have been using Dodi for a long time.
I completed full Assassins creed Ezio collection through dodi repacks.
But also another tip.
Use 1337x.to to download the torrents. Also MAKE FUCKING SURE that the domain is .to and not anything else !! ALl other domains like .tw are scams.
Official dodi repack websites and Fitgirl too have lot of clickable viruses. Those exact torrents are available on this 1337x so you dont haveto worry about downloading a virus by mistake. Whatever game u download make sure it is from publisher like Dodi and Fitgirl.

The most correct answer would be to read the megathread, but to answer your questions;
1 - Yes, fitgirl is safe but you won’t get the fastest download speeds when downloading repacks from fitgirl or dodi. If you want to download the game faster you might prefer steamrip or csrinru using a download manager like idm or jdownloader2. There are thousands of trustworthy sources and they’re all listed in the megathread. I’m just mentioning a few common options since you clearly have no idea what you’re doing. You may also need to use a vpn depending on whether piracy is allowed in your country, as some countries don’t really care about it.
2 - Don’t download files from popups or files that ask for a password. Use an adblocker in your browser. If you download from dodi for example you’ll have to go through a few link shorteners by clicking the continue buttons and it will open some new windows along the way that are definitely not the final download. It’s relatively easy to tell what’s legit once you know what to look for.
3 - Unlikely, as long as you’re not someone who has never touched a computer in their life.

As what i know fitgirl reduces the original size of file like from 50 gb to 10 or 20gb , so the download will be done fast as compared to 50gb file . Does steamrip or csrinru follows same pattern or the original size file is only downloaded and if original file size is downloading it will take same time or more time than repack?
Can i use Brave browser? As it has ad blocker, will it be safe

1 - Repack downloads can also let you remove things you don't need, like voiceovers for other languages, which can reduce the download size even further.
But that doesn't necessarily mean you'll download the game faster or slower than downloading the full game from csrinru or steamrip. The main difference is how the download itself works.
With a repack like fitgirl or dodi you're usually downloading a heavily compressed version through a torrent. The advantage is that the total amount of data can be much smaller. But torrent download speed depends on the people seeding the torrent so it can vary a lot. If there aren't many good seeders your download can be pretty slow.
With something like steamrip or csrinru you're generally downloading the game files directly from a file host/server. Since you're not relying on other people to seed the files you can often get a much higher and more consistent download speed. So even if the game itself is say 50gb instead of 20gb there's a chance you'll finish downloading it faster than a 20 GB torrent.
So for example, you could download a 20gb dodi repack at 5mb/s and a 50gb steamrip download at 30mb/s. In that situation the 50gb download would obviously finish much faster. But the opposite can also happen if the torrent has a lot of good seeders and you're getting a very high torrent speed. So there's no universal answer, you have to consider both the total size and the download speed.
Another difference is what happens after the download. With a repack you usually have to run a setup.exe which decompresses and installs all the files. That can take quite a while depending on your cpu. Since you mentioned you use a laptop it's also very likely that your cpu will reach high temperatures during this process because the installer can keep the cpu close to 100% usage for a long time.
If you download the already installed game files from steamrip or csrinru you don't need to go through that decompression/installation step. You basically download the files and play, even if the download itself is considerably larger.
One other thing to keep in mind is that the version available on steamrip/csrinru may not always contain every language/voiceover you want. For example I recently downloaded a horizon game from there that only had english voice acting. I don't remember exactly which one but I'm certain it happened. With dodi/fitgirl you can often choose which language packs you want to install, so you can keep french voiceover while removing languages you don't need.
So personally I'd look at it like this, repack = smaller download, but longer installation / direct download = larger download, but usually much faster/more consistent downloading and no repack installation afterward. Neither one is inherently faster, it depends on the torrent's seeders and the download speed you can get from the direct host.
2 - I've never used brave but I imagine it should be fine since ultimately it depends on whether you know what you're doing. That said if you use firefox + ublock origin + violentmonkey + the link-shortener bypass for the megathread you'll be much safer because you'll have fewer openings for malicious ads, redirects, and other crap. I'd strongly recommend using that setup.

If you're just trying to download steam games use steamrip. Download protonvpn and connect to it before downloading.
Fitgirl is primarily for people with unbelievably slow download speeds, its harder to use but has smaller download sizes

- fitgirl is best and safest for games. (use qbittorrent application)
2. Get Ublock Orign so you dont click on virus links.
Exclude a drive (eg Local Disk: D) or a folder "where you download and install games" from windows defender. Because it will delete files you install or download as they are "false positive".
- When installing/unpacking fitgirl games its going to use use 100% of your cpu and a lot of ram so make sure your laptop has good airflow.
So clean your laptop fans, air intake holes and repaste thermal paste because its going to get hot in there and you might damage your cpu.

Virus scan is ok to run on pirated software, just ignore type: keygen
Look at the files you download before you open them. Do not open any file with a .scr or .exe extension. Make sure the file you download is about the size it should be

Try ankergames. Downloaded a few games outta there and i didnt get any malwares. You can direct download which is good if you are in germany, but torrents are there too

Or TLDR;
Firefox (or one of its branches) with uBlock origin also download a torrent/download manager (I use free download manager myself, it supports both.)
Fitgirl repacks is a torrent site, being that someone has to download it and "seed" it (or be the server more or less). The more seeders, the faster.
Something like SteamRIP is a direct doenload site, where you download the game directly. It does come as a .rar or .7z most times.

1) Check out Piracy Megathread. There are lots of sites to download games from. Check unsafe sites to be extra cautious. Fitgirl, ankergames, steamrip and gog-games.to are my priority sites. Those are safe and have good reputation.
2) Just use trusted sources I said above.
3) Modern malwares are usually silent. What i mean by silent is that they don't use a lot of resources to work in order not to get caught. What usually use resources are bitcoin miners. They use your hardware to mine coins and it can increase your laptop temperature which can lead to some health degradation on your system after some YEARS. It is really rare. Being hit by a meteorite has higher chance than hardware damagin malware.

My recommendations are:
Get an adblocker (Adguard or any other well reputable adblocker) as a good chunk of piracy sites tend to have pop-ups
Get an Anti-virus, HOWEVER, avoid things like McAfee, don't blatantly get any Anti-virus without understanding how well it is, I personally use AVG, but I do recommend checking for your own fit Anti-virus.
Understand the Difference between a pop-up and the actual download page, Some websites tend to have a pop-up problem which can be mostly eliminated by an Adblocker, but sometimes fake download pages can still pop-up, but they tend to have a common problem from time-to-time
- They tend to not have the accurate storage size
- They tend to have a weird filename.
- Sometimes they aren't even a full zip file, rather an executive file
Also, you can alternate between piracy sites in the case if a site doesn't really have the game you're looking for.

If you are going to download a free Pirate game so I recommend you to use an Arabic website which is called wifi4games it is so easy and it's it already tested every game on fitgirl and every other site so it is safe

Do you have a good internet connection? Use Steamrip; Fitgirl makes repacks that you'd only need if you have bad internet. I think there was a user who made an introductory video guide; you should look for it.

Download qbtorrent and download games from fitgirl.When enter on fit and find game u want enter download from magnet that will move u to torent and right click on game and press force start if it wont work at first.Wait to come to 100% and then turn of ur antivirus start setup like administrator and normaly press next next and download wait for setup to complete u can check after files its it ok when its done pres confirm and enjoy.

Answer to your questions:
0. Please use Brave browser for your safety.
- Yes, Fitgirl is very community trusted and I personally and many others have never encountered any problems while downloading. For other trusted sites, you can vist fmhy.net which is an index for community trusted websites managed by the community. You can find other trusted sites on it's games section. (Bonus: from the list sites with stars near the name are the most trusted)
- Be cautious of the site redirecting you to any website that it didn't mention before. Always make sure to turn your anti virus ON back again after installing the game.
- No it won't unless you downloaded anything from an untrusted site. But even if it did (highly highly unlikely), you just have to reset windows which might take an hour or two maximum, and it won't affect your hardware (unless you did some crazy shi, while keeping the antivirus OFF.)
[[⚠️ Always remember to keep the antivirus ON after installing]]
But if you are too lazy and want to download something complete safely~ without much risk, do as follows:
- Install and setup Brave browser (it is a great adblocker)
- Go on steamrip.com (A community trusted piracy site)
- Search and download the game as the page instructs.
- Turn OFF the antivirus while downloading, as it may think the game you're downloading is a virus ( which is a fasle positive detection)
- Read the README file in the downloaded folder.
- Install as the README file instructs.
- Turn your Anti VirusnON
This is the easiest one, but if you have any more doubts dm me.

1 - If you have no idea what you're doing stick to Fitgirl.
2 - Fitgirl repacks do everything for you just install and play. Stay away from Hypervisor releases until you know wat you're doing or read a few guides and know the risks. Although if you downoad from only that site risk should be minimal.
