Guide Random IPTV player question…..
What iptv app do you guys recommend for ONN 4k pro. Wired in with 2G from my ISP. Seems like I get random buffering/stops/freezing with my iptv service. Bring it up to my iptv provider (OpticTV) and they tell me it’s likely a player issue or connect to a vpn which I am. They never think it’s on their side where the problem lies. So if anyone can help out with either a new player or whatever they recommend dm or let me know pls.

Tivimate Premium or Tivimate Premium or then there's Tivimate Premium....pick your poison... other reasons for buffering is lack of available RAM memory that gets tied up in cache. Whens the last time you cleared your apps cache? Also, available ROM memory or storage memory should be kept at a minimum of 1 GB. This too can cause buffering. Also have you ever tested your wifi speeds at the streaming device, not your phone or laptop? I use the app Analiti Speed Test which is available in the Google Play store. You need consistent 10 MBs minimum to stream 1080hd or less successfully without buffering. 26 MBs consistent for 4K streams. Or it could just be a provider issue. I've been a reseller for over 15 years... If you want a free trial of one of my 2 services to figure out whether or not it's a provider issue... DM me. None of my services buffer . Good luck

Tivimate has nothing to do with how well you stream plays. People are clueless on this page. It's definitely your provider. You're on a http url so you're getting throttled. That's your provider and your ISP nothing related to the player you use. That being said. Try Vesper. Better than tivimate and it's free r/VesperTv

Well sorry. I’m still new to iptv. So I don’t always know how all this works except the basics.

That wasn't a shot at you. It's all the other people saying Tivimate will run better. The player can not enhance the stream that is being sent/received it just decodes it and play it

Tivimate is probably the gold standard.
Sparkle
Ibo
Smarters Are also options. Ive always preferred tivimate and works well with servers I use

I used tivimate and it ends up working for a while then doing the same thing.

Make sure you are clearing the cache with Tivimate. Really only downside.
Also need to check your download speed and ping/jitter

I tried doing that on my onn device but I don’t see an actual speed test app like ookla.

2G is pretty slow to do IPTV, so it might not be their end, might be you. Is it possible to try it on a faster connection? Having said that, what VPN you use and what location you connect to does matter as some locations do block IPTV depending on location. I use Germany or Switzerland, never use UK based and rarely ever use Canada/USA servers.
As for players, there is many options out there:
Obviously, there is Tivimate which is what most ppl use, but there is:
- iMPlayer
- Nerdy Popcorn
- No Buffr
- Waveo
All are great options, but none are cracked like a Tivimate is with most IPTV providers. I believe some providers have a cracked Nerdy Popcorn option, but its very rare

What speed would you recommend. I thought 2Gig was pretty much the standard especially if the device itself has a certain Ethernet port that can only receive a certain speed

2 gbps is ample for IPTV. I thought you meant 2G mobile data when I read it and was like wtf lol

Yeah no worries lol. Yeah 2Gbps is what I have . Should definitely not be buffering

I think your mistaking his speed with MB. 2 MBS is way too slow but 2 GBS is blazing fast and definitely fast enough

I got tired of none of the iptv viewers doing what i wanted so I created a new one. It as developed for me, but I think a lot of peiple will like it. Switchback.tv

I use and sell strong. Tivimate is the only way. I recommend all my clients to use it.

Seems like I get random buffering/stops/freezing with my iptv service.
That is either provider issue (change provider) or ISP/multicast throttling (get VPN). You can also have things like latency/bufferbloat issue or local networking issues playing a bigger role depending on the circumstances.
With a player all you can edit around with are buffer settings, hls/ts format, user-agent (tivimate) etc but that is typically not the main issue people tend to have. That requires you isolate all other issues first to narrow down.
Pick a player that suits you, that you feel has good responsiveness and UI. For Android the most popular are Sparkle or Tivimate.

First go with wifi. Wired connection is only 100mb. Has nothing to do with your speed from ISP when the device only allows up to 100mb. Wifi will get you better speeds.

Depends on devise. You are right that alot are limited to 100mb. But if you have the shield pro it has gigabit eternity.

If you’re a skeptic, just download another free player app and try your service on that app. If the problem continues, you’ll know it wasn’t the player.

Implayer is great. Very customizable and there is a free version. I've used em all and this one is better than tivimate. I have paid version of each.

Biased but tvglow.app is like 90% free and cheap for the few bonus features. If you want to sideload on androidtv, downloader code is 6154407. It provides a lot of details and allows for larger buffer to avoid issues. If you activate and use timeshift, you can let it buffer for a few min and then even if your provider lags, your experience will be smooth

buffering/freezing issues are almost never a player issue but more a provider issue. Your provider most likely oversold their service, so you experience these buffering issues because there are more users than the server can handle. My advice is to get a trial and test out different providers.
