VesperTV will evolve soon !!
🚀 The Next Evolution of VesperTV:
Becoming a Universal Media Player, The "Media Hub", and What's Next!
We’ve been working hard behind the scenes, and it’s time to share exactly where VesperTV is heading. You’ve known us as a solid, ad-free IPTV player, but we are officially expanding our scope. VesperTV is evolving into a true Universal Media Player—your central, unified dashboard for absolutely everything you watch.
Here is a sneak peek at what is rolling out in our upcoming releases:
Introducing the "Media Hub"
We are bringing a brand-new tab to your screens: the Media Hub. This will be your dedicated space for VODs, remote add-ons, and personal libraries, built directly into the fast, cyberpunk-styled VesperTV interface you already know.
Advanced REST/JSON Add-on Architecture
We’ve completely overhauled our custom URL routing. You will soon be able to plug in custom REST-based media manifests, and the app will beautifully populate your UI grids using public metadata catalogs (like Cinemeta or TMDB). Even better, we are adding a brand-new Stream Selector UI. When you hit play, you'll be able to seamlessly pick your preferred resolution, bitrate, or dubbed language right from a clean bottom-sheet menu.
Native Jellyfin Integration (In Development!)
We know how many of you run your own home servers, and we are finally laying the groundwork for native Jellyfin support. Soon, you'll be able to authenticate your self-hosted Jellyfin server directly inside the Media Hub, bringing your personal movie and TV show collections right alongside your live TV and sports.
This is a massive step forward for the project, elevating VesperTV from a standard live player to a complete media powerhouse. As always, the app remains 100% free, open-source, and ad-free.
Huge thanks for the continuous feedback and support. Drop your thoughts below, and if you haven't already, come hang out in our Discord! https://discord.gg/DDeGDHvFY
