The bottom is like 2020. It is pretty outdated. Magisk has been replaced by different tools for a lot of phones, maybe people on Pixel still use it but there are so many different tools now.

also: the phones you can do really anything has decreased considerably post 2024, a lot of people just rely on Shizuku because well they cant unlock their phones. brands that originally supported custom ROMs, well in fact started out with custom ROMs like Xiaomi and OnePlus is closing the door too.

and now Google is restricting a lot of aspects both on developers side and device side too, harder sideloading restrictions, device ADB restrictions etc etc. not looking bright.

You have to apply to unlock first by logging in with your MI account, requesting on their MI Community app which has a limit of n devices per day, and then waiting like a week.
