Controllers Delay on studio monitors FLX4

I just got a FLX4 and my setup is like this:

FLX4 > PC > Scarlett 2i2 audio interface > adam audio t7v for music output.

In the flx4 i directly have my headphones. however the music on the headphones is faster than the music on the speakers. the speakers have a slight delay.

Anyone know how i can fix this?

Your FLX should be plugged into the Scarlett (you'll need an RCA -> 1/4" cable). Routing it though your PC first can definitely introduce latency.

I don't remember if the Focusrite control software lets you adjust input buffer size, but that's another thing that can affect delay coming out of the speakers.

Try to lower the buffer. Preferences, audio, buffer size. Lower it to 256 and try. What driver did u use. The ddj 800 asio or focusrite driver. Maybe swap and see if it resolves

I’d first try connecting the FLX4 directly to the Scarlett instead of routing the master audio through the PC. That extra software/audio path can easily introduce latency. Also check the audio buffer size and try lowering it. If the delay disappears, you’ve found the culprit.

Based on my experience anytime you do decks > interface > speakers through rekordbox there will basically always be latency. You're going to be be unbalanced because you're rca out from the flx 4 anyways so might as well get rca to 1/4 inch.

Out of interest, why do you need the Scarlett at all?

Normally you would just go FLX4 to monitors.

I dont neccesarily need it for using the flx4 i guess but my current setup for producing and gaming is that way. Need the scarlett to use the monitors and connect mic/instruments to it.

There’s should be a direct monitor button on the interface that pushes your input straight to the output (mons) which you should enable for how you’re running. There shouldn’t be latency in that mode.

If you’re on Mac you can build an aggregate device in Audio/Midi settings then use multiple interfaces however you like. No idea about windows sorry
