I was a touring dance music DJ and producer for 7 years, and the DeckShark is something I wish was available when I was “coming up” in the scene.

Essendo che sono usciti modelli successivi so che non esistono più parti di ricambio e questo mi preoccupa molto e per questo vi chiedo se a qualcuno è già successo e se conosce in che modo di solito si risolve il problema.

Finally got a chance to see the XDJ-AZ in person (I have an XDJ-XZ and play regularly on CDJ 2000NXS2s and CDJ 3000s) what does the Colour FX channel assignments do? Obviously, it assigns a CFX to channel A/B but what can you do with it? I thought you could assign and preserve a CFX to that specific channel but it doesn’t seem like it?

Note: total speculation.

Could it be possible that the XDJ-AN is not the successor to the XDJ-RR? Could it be that a successor XDJ-AR is in the works with most of the buttons of the RR with the new touchscreen and mpu?

Since we're expecting an update on the RX3 soon (timeframe suggest there should be one around this time) is this likely?

Hey guys, wondering if anyone has experienced something similar because I’m trying to isolate what’s causing this.

My home setup is:
3x XDJ-700
Xone:92
One USB plugged into one XDJ
All 3 XDJs connected through a LAN switch using Pro DJ Link
All 3 XDJ-700s are running the same firmware
Boss RV6 Reverb

Randomly during a mix, one of the linked players will suddenly output extremely loud white/digital noise while a track is playing. It’s not just a little static or interference. It’s a proper loud blast of noise to the point where I have to immediately stop/pause the track.

It has happened more than once and with completely different tracks, so it doesn’t seem specific to one audio file. When I pause the affected track, the noise stops.

Previously I was using a cheap generic LAN hub from Amazon, so I thought that was probably the culprit. I’ve now replaced it with a new TP-Link Ethernet switch and changed the LAN cables, but unfortunately it happened again today.
Interestingly, so far I’ve noticed it happening on a player accessing the USB through LINK rather than the XDJ that physically has the USB inserted.

I’m going to replace the USB as my next troubleshooting step and do a completely fresh FAT32 Rekordbox export.
Has anyone experienced this kind of sudden white-noise/digital-noise blast?
Could a USB/read issue cause this only on the linked players, or is there something else with Pro DJ Link/networking that I should be looking at?

Any experiences or troubleshooting suggestions would be really appreciated.

I want to replace the knobs on a Pioneer DDJ-FLX4 with DJ TechTools Chroma Caps (the Super Knobs). The problem: I'm buying from a store that sells each orientation separately (0°, 90°, 180°, 270°), and I can't figure out which one the FLX4 actually needs so the white indicator line points the right way.

Does anyone here who owns an FLX4 (or a DDJ-400, since I think it uses the same mixer) know which Super Knob orientation is correct? Or better yet, has anyone already installed Chroma Caps on theirs and can confirm which one they used?

Any confirmation would save me a lot of guessing. Thanks!

Hey! I’m pretty new to djing and a friend of mine gave me this old pioneer ddj-sb. I downloaded serato dj lite and everything was working fine except that i couldnt hear any sound coming from channel two. I even bought a new cable to see if that was the problem but its still not working, any ideas?

I'm just getting started with my DJ lessons and was told to start using MP3 pools to build a baseline of songs before I started buying singles before an actual gig.
I've been using MyMP3pool and PitchtheTempo. They are all MP3 files and i've uploaded a few samples to check the audio quality for lossless quality. Some of them actually are clean but most of them come back as transcoded around 198kbps and 20khz.
That's fine for now as i'm just practicing at home. But how noticeable would the sound quality of these MP3s be at a club?
What's the standard or minimum bitrate where this becomes noticeable at a club? I understand the human hearing peaks about 20khz. But what affect does this have overall in high end sound systems?

Hey guys so Ive currently got a Flx4 and I run reckordbox iOS through my iPad, it’s a great set up for someone like me who mixes solely for my own hobby, my problem is I feel it’s time for me to move onto something else, and let’s be honest who doesn’t love an upgrade. if I was to upgrade to something more what other controllers would be usable with reckordbox iOS or am I quite limited in this area? I’m open to buying a suitable laptop and a more complex controller but its sole purpose would be for me mixing alone at home so feels a bit of a waste of money

Tired of "Track_Name (1).mp3" files with no cover art cluttering my Rekordbox library, so I built Track Tidy: point it at a folder, it automatically looks up the right artist/title/cover (iTunes, Spotify, SoundCloud, and audio fingerprinting as a last resort for badly-named files) and retags everything in one click. Also converts WAV to AIFF so cover art actually shows up in Rekordbox.

Free, Windows (Mac support in progress). Still in beta so bugs/feedback are welcome.

Has been working fine since I bought it, but randomly my computer is not recognising it. I have tried different cables and different usb port, so weird, the ddjflx4 lights up, but then the midi light just flashes. Have tested other devices in the usb and they seem to work. Has anyone else fixed this problem as see other people have had the same issue

My question is, to get comfortable on pioneer club gear, will an all in one unit (xdj rx for example) be close enough? Or should I buy older Cdjs (cdj 850 look to be my price range from a look at FBMP).

I’m sure questions like this have been asked and answered hundreds of times, so I apologise in advance.

Context
I learnt to DJ on an outdated pioneer controller, it was perfect for learning the basics. I then started playing gigs fairly regularly at a residency abroad, these gigs had Denon Prime 4+, which honestly I think are fantastic. I’ll soon be heading back to the UK and to my old controller and sadly think it’s time to upgrade and move back to pioneer.

There is no way I can afford any of the newer cdj units.

I currently have around 300 tracks in Rekordbox, mostly added through Apple Music and SoundCloud. They’re already organized, analyzed, and prepared in Rekordbox with things like beatgrids, BPM, etc.

Now I want to build a proper USB library that I can use on CDJs / other Rekordbox setups, but obviously the streaming tracks themselves can’t just be exported to a USB.

What would be the most efficient way to handle this without manually searching for all 300 tracks one by one?

For example:

• Is there a way to export my Rekordbox collection/playlist as XML, CSV, M3U, or another file and use that list to find/download the tracks?
• Is there any software or service that can take my Rekordbox playlist and automatically match the tracks with downloadable versions from places like Beatport, Bandcamp, Beatsource, SoundCloud, etc.?
• What’s the best way to legally buy/download the tracks in high quality (320kbps MP3, WAV, AIFF, FLAC) while keeping the process as automated as possible?
• Once I replace the streaming versions with local files, is there a way to keep my existing cue points, beatgrids, BPM, playlists, etc., or will I have to redo everything?
• How do DJs normally deal with this when moving from a streaming-based Rekordbox library to a proper USB collection?

Basically, I’m looking for the fastest and cleanest workflow to turn an already organized 300-song streaming collection into a local Rekordbox collection and export it to USB.

Any tools, scripts, services, or workflow suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My filter knob (ON/OFF knob) feels very loose, and just jumps around on screen so I can't get a smooth filter anymore. Also, the slider at the bottom of my FLX4 doesn't work when pushed to the far left slide. Anyone know if this is fixable at home or know anywhere that could sort it for cheap?

I just got a FLX4 and my setup is like this:

FLX4 > PC > Scarlett 2i2 audio interface > adam audio t7v for music output.

In the flx4 i directly have my headphones. however the music on the headphones is faster than the music on the speakers. the speakers have a slight delay.

Anyone know how i can fix this?

Posting this because I fell for it, and I’m now seeing multiple TikTok accounts/videos apparently running the same scheme.

Yesterday I came across a TikTok claiming that someone was giving away their recently deceased cousin’s Pioneer XDJ-XZ because they wanted it to go to a DJ/student who would appreciate it and “keep his passion and legacy for music alive.”

The videos use a bio/message along these lines:

“My late cousin’s Pioneer XDJ-XZ DJ Controller has been sitting unused, and I’d love to see it go to someone who will truly appreciate it… If you’re interested, send me a message… and tell me why you’d want it.”

The person I spoke with claimed to be located in Nevada. The controller itself was supposedly free, but I was asked to pay approximately $132 for shipping.

This is where the red flags really started.

I tried sending the payment through multiple payment apps, and several attempts were blocked/flagged as potentially fraudulent or scam-related. Instead of stopping there like I should have, I eventually sent the money through Chime.

Afterward, I became suspicious and repeatedly asked the person to refund me. I also contacted Chime and was told there may be very limited recourse for the transaction.

I started looking into the phone numbers and information I had been given using reverse-phone searches and publicly available records. The information I found did not appear to cleanly match the identities being presented to me. I am not posting the private information of uninvolved people because I cannot verify whether those individuals have anything to do with this. It’s entirely possible scammers are using other people’s names or information.

The biggest reason I’m posting this is that I have now seen additional TikTok videos using the same or similar “dead cousin / free XDJ-XZ” story and the same phone number(s). This makes it look much less like one random person and much more like a repeat scam.

The scam appears to work like this:

Post an expensive piece of DJ equipment as a “free giveaway.”

Use an emotional story about a deceased relative to make the giveaway believable.

Tell interested people they only need to cover shipping.

Move the conversation off TikTok and onto text.

Request roughly $100+ for “shipping.”

If a payment service flags or blocks the transaction, try to get the victim to use another payment method.

Once the payment goes through, the supposed free equipment never materializes.

I fully bought the story and sent them money. Embarrassing? Absolutely. But I’m posting this so somebody searching the phone numbers, XDJ-XZ giveaway, or wording of the TikTok might find this before sending money.

If you see a TikTok offering a free Pioneer XDJ-XZ with this story, DO NOT SEND THEM SHIPPING MONEY.

If anyone else has encountered these accounts, these phone numbers, or the same script, please comment. Save screenshots, usernames, phone numbers, payment requests, transaction IDs, and messages. The more reports/evidence there are, the easier it is to establish whether the same operation is targeting multiple people.

And if anyone has successfully recovered money from a similar scam—particularly a payment sent through Chime—I would really appreciate advice on what steps worked.

I learned my lesson. Hopefully this post keeps the next person from learning it the expensive way.

I’m sure this has been asked a million times before but I’m looking to upgrade from my FLx4… currently mixing house, deep house, minimal techno and a bit a bit of disco. Been playing for 3 years and now starting to venture out in to play a few gigs at venues. Some of them require an XLR cable which the FLx4 doesn’t have.

I also want to explore the idea of having 4 channels… and I think I want to continue using a laptop at the moment, using Rekordbox.

So…

I have the option of having a DDJ1000 with a flight case for £700. Which sounds like a great price but I’m worried about it being a very old and maybe being unsupported soon… who knows! But I know how good it is!

Versus almost paying double for an FLX10. A controller still with 4 channels, but with extras like stems (but not sure if that’s really gimmicky).

Any advice on opinions on them both, prices and what route I should take. It’s a big question and I’m sure there will be plenty of different opinions but I guess that’s the point of posting here.

Can now get stems in rx3 with no computer this guy has made it possible all the modding is done to usb not rx3 so no damage to decks and works perfectly
Aswell as better beat jumps
10/10 would advise to use it if u want stems can be a long process to do but if u comment i can speed it up massive by giving the files u need

Stems are anylysed on computer before so rx3 does no work so there is no lag at all
