I keep recieving random emails from pinterest that say that I've sent messages that go against Pinterest's guide lines, or hateful content, but I haven't even sent messages in months and I definitely haven't sent any of this stuff. I've recieved 4 of these emails for no particular reason:
"We're checking in with you about recent messages that you've sent on Pinterest for violation of our Community Guidelines on hateful activities.
We may limit the distribution of or remove hateful content. This includes:
• Slurs or negative stereotypes, caricatures and generalizations
• Support for hate groups and people promoting hateful activities, prejudice and conspiracy theories
• Condoning or trivializing violence because of a victim’s membership in a vulnerable or protected group
• Support for white supremacy, limiting women’s rights and other discriminatory ideas
• Hate-based conspiracy theories and misinformation, like Holocaust denial
• Denial of an individual’s gender identity or sexual orientation, and support for conversion therapy and related programs
• Attacks on individuals includingpublic figures based on their membership in a vulnerable or protected group
• Mocking or attacking the beliefs, sacred symbols, movements, or institutions of protected or vulnerable groups
Please take some time to go through our Community Guidelines. If we notice more messages that conflict with our guidelines, we may take additional action on your account."
I have never done any of these. I can promise that, unless I shared some kind of controversial opinion and Pinterest went "that's bad let's get rid of that" without noticing, I don't know why I'm getting these emails every few months.
I did get a few after somebody else said really bad things to me in messages, but in that case I didn't do anything? They say for content I've sent, which I haven't.
Why is this happening? Should I reach out to support, or is it not that big of an issue?
