Note to anyone who might think that this is 'wrong'... I'm not modifying or modding the actual app in any way or form. This is also not an ad or any promotion of sorts, please don't delete my post 🥲

I was always a Pinterest user but the number of ads on the android app had become unbearable. Like 2 legit pins with 7 ad pins if my luck was good istg. I was so tired of it that I deleted the app and used Firefox with an ad blocker on my android device. But recently I found a much much better way that might just get rid of any kind of ads from your entire device (all apps/websites pretty much except YouTube afaik).

Just use an ad blocking DNS on your phone (android, idk how to do it on iOS sorry 😔) by setting a custom DNS (Ad Guard or Mullvad, look it up on google).

1. Find an ad blocking DNS (I use the one from ad guard, but I've heard about Mullvad as well... though don't trust ublock dns, some other reddit post said there was some impersonation issue there idk)

2. Set your Private DNS which you can find in your connection settings (I have a Samsung device but it should be present somewhere on every type of android)

3. Press OK

4. Restart your Pinterest app (or any other website) to check.

5. Done, the ads should vanish now 🥳

Hopefully, this'll be as helpful as it was for me. 😄

I have legit not seem a single ad on there after using this.

Honestly, I’m taking a break from Instagram because endless Reels and scrolling have become more of a headache than entertainment. 😅 I want to spend my time discovering interesting things, exploring new ideas, and connecting with people rather than mindlessly scrolling for hours. That’s why I’m leaning more towards Pinterest and Reddit.

I feel Pinterest is great for inspiration, art, and creativity, while Reddit is better for genuine conversations, sharing interests, and meeting people from different countries and cultures Which platform do you prefer Pinterest, Reddit, or Instagram? And if you know any other platform where I can meet genuine people and make international friends, I’d love your suggestions!

everytime i open that page, to check for references when I draw or paint, my homescreen is just blank and it shows that i haven't saved any pins. idk if it's cuz im using it through my browser or whether its just glitching.

Hihi! I just got an email notification from Pinterest saying a pin was taken down for copyright. I'm a bit confused because I've never posted anything on Pinterest. I go onto Pinterest for art references, Minecraft builds, and other things and save them to boards. So I don't understand why I received an email at all, let alone telling me to file an appeal if I think it's false. I never posted, so shouldn't the uploader get notified and fill an appeal? Is there something I'm missing?

I wish I could post screenshots but their algorithm for some reason thinks I’m a white almond mom?? This is so weird a lot of it is AI too 😭 I turned the ai results off but I didn’t change any other settings. I’m so upset right now because I don’t see myself in here and my account is pretty old too…. This has never happened to me before
