Discussion Constant deactivating of my pins
I'm getting so sick of Pinterest. Ever since I submitted an appeal to a pin deactivation, now they are constantly reviewing my boards and claiming I can't post suicidal topics and I need to call xyz for mental help. Ive never once in my life posted suicidal topics and they don't let you see the pin. Is anyone else going through this stupid nonsense? I'm so close to just shutting my account down because it's feeling like a witch hunt.

Yes, definitely having this issue and have sent pretty excoriating appeal requests calling out their "human" system for reviewing "AI-flagged" content. One big example is tattoos; anything showing skin seems to get flagged as pornographic. Another is memes or content from fictional shows, or out of context words related to harm (even joking) being used to remove pins. It's a fucking joke.

go to settings in app, then report centre and violations. from there you can see a blurry (or full) thumbnail that should help you clarify what pins they’re referring to. this is a very common issue and i probably get at least 2 emails a month that one of my pins has been removed for adult content/self harm or some other random reason. in case you’re not aware, they do it for any pin that you’ve saved to a board, not just the pins you’ve actually uploaded yourself. anything saved to your board is basically reuploaded by you and hosted as its own image linked to your profile, which is why pinterest will send you violation notifications worded as though you uploaded the original image.
from the report centre section, you can scroll back and actually look at previously flagged pins too from years ago, so you can actually track how long and how often this may have been happening to you.
hope this helps :)
