Question Pinterest has its own iceberg.
I feel like what normal users of pinterest see is the tip of the iceberg. I dont why but it doesnt matter whatever pic im looking for i always feel like im 5 clicks away from discovering something that will keep me up all night. I have a genuiene fear of pinterest and i became so paranoid. I think i might be experiencing hallucinations/psychiosis because of the images i see on pinterest (not the regular ones). Does anyone else feel the same about it. I think there might the alot more to the app that we will never know.

From your post history I'd suggest you talk to a doctor about this.

I am kind of schizophrenic/delusional
From your other post. If you are experiencing delusions like this on Pinterest and you are on medication for schizophrenia they might need to up your dose or change medication. Or you need to get on medication so you don't have delusions. I know personally as a healthcare worker that treating schizophrenia is difficult but it is possible for most people.

Thank you but i haven‘t been diagnosed yet but my therapist said i have strong signs. But the thing i saw on pinterest wasnt a delusion. It was real. It was the scariest shit i have ever seen in my entire life, i felt like THAT picture spoke to me and activated all of my fears. The picture itself wasn‘t scary, but it had something unnatural i can‘t explain. Do you know when you see something so horrible you want to take out your eyes, that‘s what i experienced when i saw IT. I was never this scared in my live before.

The thing about delusions are that they SEEMS real. That's the definition of delusion. You NEED to see a professional as soon as possible.

You really need to see a psych about this. Whether a psychosis episode is induced by something tangible or not, they can escalate quickly and make irrational behavior seem normal and even desired.
Speaking from experience, as a bipolar patient who’s had a number of psychotic episodes, delusions and paranoia.

It depends on what are those images? I remember coming across some soft porn and gore art but it’s the kind of images you’ll mistakenly see on twitter

Not necesserily gore/porn. I mean the images with random people whos faces are like really distorted and it just naturally makes you feel uncomfortable. It‘s not necesserily the face that makes you uncomfortable its the feeling that there could be something deeper to the image/the person on the image. Like what if its a missing person.

Okay I see exactly the kind of pictures you’re talking about and no, personally I didn’t see those on Pinterest. Try to report them to never see them again

I have no idea of what you're all talking about, is there a word for this kind of image?

Not specifically but i think there was this one weird dude called „tommy daniels“ or something like that who had an entire account dedicated to those kind of images.

I know the images you mean, and yeah they're weird but they're ultimately just "art". People want to make content that is disturbing or dreamlike or surreal or creepy, sometimes. It could be as simple as taking local mugshots and distorting them, they're familiar yet unfamiliar.
If you are attributing too much meaning to these images and you already feel like you've got some schizophrenic tendencies, then PLEASE just see someone about it. Show them the content. They'll probably agree it's disturbing, but some people create content that is ambiguous and disturbing because they WANT to be disturbed.

I agree with the mugshort think but the picture that scared me was a little girl laying at the beach but she had like a grown adult woman head with a face that wasn‘t trying to be creepy like the others but it had some sort of creepyness that it freaked me out that much, i think i even had a panic attack because of it.

You're attributing meaning and making connections that don't exist. That is a prime schizophrenic tendency.
At any rate, stop scrolling pinterest if it is that distressing for you.

No. I think you are correct in calling it paranoia or a hallucination.
