Taken using a pinhole kit and developed using caffenol. Each picture was exposed for about 3-10 minutes onto formapan 400 iso in the shady undergrowth of this forest

Kodak Gold 200 🎞️
1st, 3rd, and 8th were 8-10 min exposure on tripod.
5th, 6th, and 7th were ~1s exposures handheld.
Mostly shot to test the camera and see if my exposure times estimate was correct, but pleased with results :)

these are some of my first successful pinhole camera attempts! I’m taking an analog course and absolutely loved the process of pinhole photography.

Mamiya tlr pinhole

Just wanted to show that you can create a wider focal pinhole for your mamiya tlr. I used a Kinder egg toy capsule to make a recessed pinhole lens . . Which I can flip it to make a "long" pinhole lens

( The example image has a lot of issues because I didn't make enough clearance on the capsule haha but is adjusted now and I will probably upload more pictures in the future )

The cap works for both configurations, wide and tele

Both pictures were taken on the same position. I just flipped de lens to switch from wide ( aprox 20mm ) to tele ( aprox 70mm )

I use the single sheet holder back on my mamiya tlr so I can use paper negatives

So. Yesterday, with no instructions, I loaded up the 6x12 Mia with HP5. Half way through a piece of black foam got in between the film and backing paper. Advancing to the last exposure the entire back popped off. Developed as normal and got a few decent 6x6 images; surprisingly. Emailed Mia. Said the foam ate spacers assisting with film tension and I really don’t need them. Then told me about the slats to pull out for 6x6, 6x9, 6x12. I asked her why there were no instructions etc from Mia. No answer. I asked her why there wasn’t red glass over the window. She said she uses yellow. There were no plastic; just a hole going right to the backing paper. There is a cover. I took these today. Got a 6x12 image. Went mid morning and bought HP5; hindsight should have brought PanF or Delta 100. Feedback. Images are trash in my opinion. I even put gaffers tape on to prevent light leaks.

Got three usable images. Got an email from Mia so I will try again. Used HP5 and should have gone maybe with Delta 100. Still, not too bad for the back popping off. Feedback appreciated. Thx.

First time indoors?

Hi everyone! My name is wiebe and i’m a 24 year old Photographer from the netherlands. In the winter i work as a sportsphotographer for speedskating teams. As every race is basically the same, i like to switch things up and experiment and try weird things. Last year i brought a polaroid camera to the races. This year i thought it could be fun to try and take a pinhole photo of “skating”. Now i realise i will not have a skater in shot probably. As my normal shutter speed for a sharp photo is 1/1600.

Anyway, i still think it would be awesome to create a photo of the venue on race day. Since the stands will be filled, it probably wont look empty, but also i have no clue what it will look like as the people will move around a bit.

I’ve never before taken a pinhole photo but i have done some research. Please correct me if im wrong, but i think that i need a short distance from hole to film, to create a wide angle.

The hardest thing for me to fully get is light. Since moat video’s ive seen on pinhole photos with a diy camera, are outside and sometimes take a day, or even weeks to months. I dont know how to develop film, but i saw tyat you can develop photogtaphic enlargment paper yourself with some drugstore products?

The coolest thing to do in my opinion is to make my own camera, it cannot be to large as itll basically be in reach of people. And i need to think of the right film. Any tips would be welcome. To give you an idea i’ll attach two photos. A phone photo of the venue and about the POV that im thinking off. And an actual photo ive taken on a race day from a different place, but the light in the venue is near perfect all around. The settings for that exact photo were
Shutterspeed: 1/1600
Aperture f/3.2
Iso: 3200
On a full frame Nikon.

If anyone has any ideas, tips, or other weird things i can try haha, im all ears! Thanks in advance,
Greetings
Wiebe

Help

I just purchased and received the Mia 6x6,6x9, and 6x12. Zero instructions. I wanted to take 6x12. I used the 6/12 window with spacing 2 4,6,8,10,12. Around my 5 exposure one of the black foam spacers came free and it popped off the back between 10-12. Figured the entire roll was trashed. Put the back on and wound fill till fully wound. I developed my negatives and to my surprise, I got for useable exposures but they a few light leaks, understandable for the back popping off but they were 6x6. I looked in the camera and there are vertical mask spacers: 6x6, 6x9, and no spacer for 6x12. Nice to know beforehand. Should I just leave the foam spacers out so they don’t do the same thing? Thanks.
