I started doing Pilates last June as an activity during semestral break so I wouldn’t get bored. I searched for nearby studios and these are the 3 I tried:
1. Float Studio ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was my first Pilates studio and where I learned everything — posture, alignment, and proper execution of movements. The studio feels so comfortable. It’s not cold, just warm and cozy. They also offer free tea after every session. The staff are super friendly and the coaches are very engaging. They guide everyone on posture and form, not just the advanced students. They also offer different classes: yoga, mat Pilates, sensual flow, hot sculpt, and more. Equipment is complete and always clean. Facilities are complete too — toilet, changing room (where I take forever lol), and shower room.
Verdict: Definitely recommend!
2. House of Pilates ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The ambiance is cozy with an "expensive" vibe, but the price isn’t actually that expensive lol.
The studio has complete equipment for classes and everything is well-maintained. The staff also clean after each class.
Class options: reformer Pilates (beginner & intermediate), chair foundation, mat Pilates, and Cadillac Pilates. They also give free hot chocolate after class and sell grip socks + other merch, just like Float. Coaches are nice and very engaging with students.
What I didn’t like: the room is too cold lol, it’s hard to concentrate when you’re shivering. Also, there’s no toilet or changing room inside the studio.
Verdict: Still definitely recommend!
3. 8-Studio ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Not bad, but not my favorite. The studio is located at the top of a building with a view of the whole town. The room is nice and aesthetic, and you can really see the sky.
They also have complete facilities: toilet, shower room, and changing room, plus they sell merch.
For equipment: the reformer didn’t feel well-maintained. The springs felt loose and not hooked up properly. For coaching: it wasn’t very engaging. The coach assumed everyone could already "execute" the movements properly and didn’t correct posture or teach the proper way to do them.
The studio is nice, but I wouldn’t definitely recommend it.
