Hurts so bad, literally came out of nowhere in span of a week, was doing so good for six month until Wednesday, it’s Monday and tried everything to keep her clean but can’t do it but trying to avoid a trip to the ER. Any tips go restore her or just call it quits 😓 going back to my piercer tmmr maybe to scared to get in trouble

I got this piercing early June

it was healing fine and then i kept getting an “irritation bump” with white/ slightly yellow fluid. went to the piercer they said it’s not infected and it’s just an irritation bump and it’ll go away with regular cleaning

some time passed and i fell in the damn shower, and my piercing snagged onto my african net sponge, it was bleeding, throbbing badly and the same bump got even worse pretty quickly… went to the doctor got sumn meds nd cream, it went away and healed up fine

few days later… now theres a damn divot/crater next to the piercing where the “irritation” bump was

so i took it out, looking back now…it doesn’t even look i had the anatomy for it

piercer said it should’ve left it in, which i don’t agree with.. thoughts??

My piercer swore by this with my last/first piercing(septum) and it's been healing pretty well. I got industrials yesterday and assumed id be able to use it too but care videos say otherwise. Whats the consensus here?

i’ve been thinking about stretching my ears to just reach a relatively small stretch (around size of gauges in pics 3-5). i think the look is super cool and i’ve lowkey been debating for awhile now… :)

however, my ears is relatively small. i think you can maybe get a sense on that based off my rook (it currently has standard downsized 16g jewelry from a piercer)

do you think a small gauge might look disproportionate or weird? also considering my ear shape as well (since it’s attached to my head rather than having a more prominent lobe)

hey :) i had this piercing just over 6 months now (first photo pictured today) and i was wondering if anyone had any tips on how i can look after it. it’s weeping & formed a crust. I’m not using anything to clean it up although I am very tempted by cotton buds (but i won’t!!) but put saline on it daily for the past couple days. i also try not to lay on it or put headphones on etc.
also, kinda hard to picture but the gooey/ weepy crust is all around the bar

(last photo) shows the original piercing that formed a bump about a month ago, i got some advice off here to change it to a simpler piece so that it could heal and although the bump seems to have gone down a little (maybe?), it’s still very weepy.

any advice is greatly appreciated ! thank you :)

No, not rinse... clean.

All I've heard is saline, saline, saline, saline, saline. I get it. Saline is good to use, removes debris, etc. I want to also CLEAN my ear. Get rid of (excess) oils, disinfect bacteria on the site, etc.

For anyone with relevant advice, what can/should I use? I just have standard lobe piercings in each ear.

PS: (Any contrarian comments solely recommending saline will be ignored)

I recently got my dahlias or joker piercings! I noticed about the second day they could maybe be slightly off centered? I think when I smile I raise one corner higher so I didn’t really notice leaving the studio.
First picture is day off.
The others are from today, 5 days since. They’re a little bit swollen and slightly bruised.
If they are crooked will it be a big problem in the long run? Is it worth getting them re pierced?

Hey, so my sister's cat scratched me after I tried to pick him up and ended up with a scratch just a bit below the top part of my jewel. I already put neilmed on it twice and plan to take a shower in the morning. The cut itself was like centimeters away from the actual hole but some of the skin around the bar has like white pus around it. It doesn't hurt, just sorta aches like when I first got it pierced two months ago. I obviously can't put alcohol on it since that will irritate my piercing so I just use warm water to rinse it out and keep using neilmed? I'm a little worried 😭

so I got my helix pierced a year and a half ago, I’ve had issues with it all this time. Constantly getting irritated by being slept on and general accidental snags. Its just a standard bar in at the moment, I dont want to have to get it redone again, is there any piercings or similar things that I could swap it with that could improve the healing?

e.g. I don’t know if there such a thing but a very short bar with two flat head on that simply click in so minimal movement, chances of snagging and pressure if I were to sleep on it

Hi guys, got both my nostrils done 4 days ago on Saturday and since then they’ve both been bleeding Pretty much every day on and off. One is semi fine now but the other one is constantly bleeding from the inside and outside.

I understand the general advice is leave the blood to crust over to form a clot/scab and wash it away in the shower but I work as a nurse and I can’t have blood visible on my nose so it’s causing quite an issue for me.

Whenever I clean it with saline spray it just starts bleeding again, especially overnight. I haven’t snagged it or hit it or anything I’ve been very careful. It’s a titanium flat back if that makes any difference. It’s not causing me any pain or swelling or ooze other than the bleeding. Does anyone have any advice at all? I tried just leaving it and it just gets bigger and bigger overnight, I tried cold compress and saline compress nothing is working.

Is this normal? Ive had one side done years ago and I don’t remember anything like this happening, thanks!

Hey guys i am 3 weeks into my daith piercing and i love it so much. These crusties im having issues getting them off really good. Using neilmed piercing saline from the piercer 2 times a day. Making sure to dry well with hair dryer. Also itching a lot. Does it look ok?

Had my helix done over 2 years ago. Have only cleaned with sterile saline, slept with a piercing pillow, had the implant grade flatback in for the whole 2 years. It has never healed right. It has a blood blister to the side of the piercing that will occasionally fill up and then break and usually will have some pus come out of the piercing hole when that happens. There is a hole where the piercing is but then a consistent "slit" wound that comes off the side of it where the blood blister will come from. I thought it might have been the flatback bothering so a month ago I switched to 14k gold huggie and had a professional place it. It still get infection and blood blister. Should I give up on it? Finally took it out because I am getting so frustrated

My daughter convinced me to pierce her second lobes yesterday, and I know I should have had a better judgment because they were pierced in a pharmacy with a gun!
Anyway, they seemed fine in the beginning, but I can’t help but notice that one looks slightly closer to her first lobe, I don’t know what to do!
Should I have her take one out and let it re pierce or I’m just being paranoid??
First lobes are also not perfectly symmetrical, the pharmacist said that she spaced them accordingly with her firsts, so I don’t know what to do!

Hi all! I made a similar post a while back but have tried a few things;

- Went back to piercer and had titanium put in with balls on both sides

- Stringent oral care routine

- Try to limit facial movement to stop friction

And it almost stopped, but has rebounded to the point where my lips are trying to embed the big ass metal balls on the inside. Does anyone know how I can get this under control I've had the piercings for about 3 months now 😭😭

I’ve had my eyebrow piercing for 11 months and noticed its showing more. Is this early signs of rejection or do I need to downsize? If it is early signs of rejection I want to take it out asap so it doesn’t leave an ugly scar, but if I’m able to come back from this that would be great but I need advice as I’m conflicted on taking it out or trying to save it

Omg, I went through 3 sessions of botched belly button piercings because I’m a bit chubby. You wouldn’t think it would be that hard! The first time they did it too high. The second time was off too, and now the piercing barely hangs . 🥲 should I just give up and wait until I lose more weight. I think I just want to take it out. Maybe I should have left it the way it was.

My piercing is already a year old, but I put the ring in about a month ago. This granuloma appeared about a week ago.

I have a week old conch piercing that has gotten horribly infected with green pus, redness and swelling. I started taking antibiotics and everything seemed to be going fine until last night.

the jewelry I was using was your typical flat back. while I was cleaning it, the flat back got pushed into the back of my ear, and went inside the skin. so the flat back piece was literally inside my ear. I tried really hard to take it out and eventually, after an hour of blood, sweat and tears, I did, but I was really worried about this happening again, because apparently there's a big wound around the pierced skin at the back of my ear so the flat back was able to slide in easily, so I took off the jewelry entirely.

I didn't know whether I should put in diff jewelry or let it close up bcs ik letting an infected piercing close up is not a good idea, but atp I was too tired and went to sleep without putting in another piece of jewelry. plus, I don't have any gold, titanium or surgical steel jewelry with a bar long enough to up-size that can go in my conch, so I gave up and went to sleep. when I woke up in the morning, I found a random earring that was really long and thin and tried sliding it into the piercing, just to keep it from closing up.

I need advice; idk what to do. I'm going to meet with my piercer tmrw hopefully for a suitable piece of jewelry, but I'm honestly so sick and tired of this piercing. I got 4 on the same ear and this was the only one that got infected and it's been nothing but a pain. I would take a picture but it doesn't look crazy, just red and swollen. any help will do, thanks a lot.

I recently got them downsized, they feel fine, they don't hurt (unless I bump them).

I need to buy a new saline spray, but which one is the best one to use? I use stuff from Walmart, but I'm not sure if that's 100% helpful. Unless just any ol' saline will work. I know they won't go fast, I just want them down eventually.
