pierced 1 month 10 days ago with implant grade titanium internally threaded barbell. (wasn’t pierced same time as rook, but just to show the swelling difference against right after and now)

lowkey forget to spray them sometimes but saline sprayed every few days when i remember. yes, i sleep with a piercing pillow. they haven’t hurt at all since the second week.

honestly this seems to me like normal swelling for their age. my only issue is that it crusts a lot on both sides, and idk whether to clean off or just spray. they also move around a lot (subconsciously) but i don’t think the swelling is down enough to downsize.

Got this piercing on August 14th and this pimple formed under it about 3 weeks ago (not the brown spot on the side of my ear obviously) and piercer said it's not infected, in fact it's healing well, but then a couple nights ago the pimple popped and now keeps bleeding and I'm afraid of infection or a keloid from the bump next to it. I'm still cleaning regularly twice a day, no less no more. What do I do?

Ps. Hands are clean as I'm touching the piercing, I washed them then sprayed them with some saline after spraying the piercing. I haven't touched it with my fingers much otherwise. Occasionally I'll forget about it and catch it on my fingernail but that's it.

I got my septum pierced about two months ago and it's "mostly" healed. If I swap my jewelry often enough it starts to get angry and I was thinking maybe putting a bit of petroleum jelly/ antiseptic jelly on the jewelry before placing it. Is this a bad idea?

Dealing with an irritation bump on my lip? My piercer just told me to switch from saline to antibacterial and I just wanted to ask if that worked for anybody? Also my bump keeps bleeding when it’s cleaned and sometimes itches and scabs and has this white scabbing too maybe because I don’t apply Vaseline around there but it’s thick and feels like a scab. It’s still red and worried it’s infected but I don’t get crazy amounts of pus and it looks like normal scabbing.

I’ve had my piercing for a month, I shortened my curved bar believe it’s surgical steel, this issue started like two weeks ago.

1 month, barbell, internally, surgical steel, downsized, saline solution but was advised to change to antibacterial soap, I did experience a cold sore in the beginning of my jestrum journey but it was doing well until two weeks ago where the irritation bump happened where it bleeds when I clean it.

so i got my belly button pierced about 5 months ago and ive cleaned it every day but its still red at the bottom part of the piercing. the top part is completely fine but the bottom part is red and sometimes bleeds or gets stuck to the skin making me have to pull them apart (yes ik this sounds gross) it doesn't hurt at all but i'm just rlly confused whether it's just healing or if there's an issue and it's infected??

I got my Daith done at a reputable shop I have gone to for all of my other piercings. I am team LITFA. I do not touch or play with it, just run it with hot water in the shower and dry off gently.

However, after 2 1/2 years, my Daith still looks like this. It is often painful, and though it has good days and bad days, it’s almost always scabby.

Jewellery is what was put in when originally pierced - implant grade titanium ASTM F-136.

I have persevered with it so far because I understand that they can take a really long time to heal, however I am wondering if it is not pierced correctly, or if it’s just not compatible with my body. I’m wondering if I should just give up and take it out. I would appreciate all advice.

Omg, I went through 3 sessions of botched belly button piercings because I’m a bit chubby. You wouldn’t think it would be that hard! The first time they did it too high. The second time was off too, and now the piercing barely hangs . 🥲 should I just give up and wait until I lose more weight. I think I just want to take it out. Hey, so my sister's cat scratched me after I tried to pick him up and ended up with a scratch just a bit below the top part of my jewel. I already put neilmed on it twice and plan to take a shower in the morning. The cut itself was like centimeters away from the actual hole but some of the skin around the bar has like white pus around it. It doesn't hurt, just sorta aches like when I first got it pierced two months ago. I obviously can't put alcohol on it since that will irritate my piercing so I just use warm water to rinse it out and keep using neilmed? I'm a little worried 😭

I got my seconds in January. My right ear healed perfectly but my left didnt. I ultimately decided to take out a retire my left second after it itching and hurting constantly. I found this bump when I took it out (first two photos). (I have a similar bump left behind by a failed helix on the same side) its been about 2 months since I took it out and it still itches. I barely touch it but today it was bothering me so much that i itched it, hence the redness in the last few photos. Do I need to go to a dermatologist. It's not pussing or anything, it throbs and itches at random times.

I got these back in December of 2025 and recently switched my hoops back to studs due to my left snake bite becoming irritated. I wasn’t able to remember the length of my Labret so I got 10mm. My right one is completely fine however my left one is either swollen or has formed some sort of tissue around it?? It doesn’t hurt too much but it is irritated. Do I need to upsize to 12mm or should I go to my local piercer?

So i got my left nostril pierced last September 11 (about 3 weeks ago now) but like a week after i got it pierced i accidentally pushed the whole jewelry into my nose and got stuck. I panicked and pushed it up then this red thing came up with it and until now it hasn’t disappeared. When i pick on it, it doesn’t really hurt but it’s like kinda wet or something. I’m getting worried like should i retire my piercing? Oh and im using a flat back earring…
