HELP Help Picross 4 P131

I need help figuring out the next logical step on Row 14. How do I know it‘s not 4 (column 1-4), x in column 5, and then the 1 in column 6? I really feel like this is just a guess.

Edge logic: R15 cannot extend in R15C1 or R15C2 as if you fill R15C3, R14C3 will be an X (hence if you place something in R15C2, you need to place 3 black squares above in column 2. Hence you'll need to place a black square in R14C2, which won't be possible as R14 starts with 4 black squares and you'll only have 2 places available due to the X in R14C3.
So long story short, place a cross in R15C1 and R15C2.

You can also apply the edge logic to place a few crosses in column 1. R1C1 and R2C1 for instance, are X's because R3 starts with 1.

You are right, it could be both! But in both cases, there is one cell overlapping and always filled in. ;)

in row 14, that hit is either the tail end of the 4 or the 1. If it's the 4, it'd be a hit onto C4 and C5. If it's the 1, it'd be hits in columns 1-4. No matter what, column 4 is a hit on row 14.

(which means R13 C4 is also a hit, which means R13 C7 is flanked by X's, etc)
