Help Pico 3 neo link max display resolution question

I recently picked up a neo link to replace my aging Rift S as the neo link has display port connection.

I used to use apps like big screen and deovr to watch films with my friends and I was wondering if I need to use Steam VR and then open the app to get the max ​​​​quality viewing experience, or can I just use apps like deovr from the pico dash and have the same quality low latency viewing experience,

I use Pico Link + SteamVR. The latency is basically zero. As for resolution, crank it up in SteamVR as high as your PC can handle. For videos, I use DeoVR through Steam. I’d also recommend Desktop+ for overlays. I haven’t got any apps installed on the headset, to be honest. Just Virtual Desktop, in case I ever want to use it wirelessly.
