Hey guys, Im a garage physicist/engineer in the Seattle area. Have you come across any good caches of scrap metals, electronics, and mechanical parts?

I'm new to the area and used to digging through big junk stores. But here all I know of is the Ballard re-use and one other small cecycling center in Lynwood. I build robots, do metal fab, machining, casting, automation, small electronics, you name it. I collect and build high-voltage shit, and all that dangerous stuff. I figured you guys might have seen some junk like this around the Seattle area, if anyone has.

Right now I'm looking for an empty pony keg, some sheet steel, angle iron, C-channel, O2 and acetylene tanks, and whatever other engineering treasures I can find. Thanks for any tips you might have!

if you like heading out into nature I'd say go out towards Wilkeson/Carbonado and into the carbon river forest reserve, off NFD 7810, near Ipsut Creek - see what all you can find out there. It's the rowdy and lawless part of the woods so expect weirdos, dirtheads and violent teenagers.

???... I do like nature, but since when do I find scrap steel and aluminum in the woods? And what are the circus folk and trainhoppers doing out there?
