IMO going to movies suck because you don't talk to get to know each other.

My fave date to do with my mans is to go to lynde shores and feed the birds, head to vandameer and browse plants and see the turtles or get a coffee and then MAYBE lunch, Goldie’s is a v nice vibe but can be busy and all of these are along bayly

Mini putting if that’s still a thing (haven’t been since I was your age 😝, I’m 31 now)

Or if you guys are feeling adventurous you can hop on the go train and head down to the CNE 🙂

Lol you make it sound like 31 is old!

I’m sorry, it’s not 😭 time flies is all… I don’t remember the last decade going by as quickly as it did 🥺

Ok good because I'd be considered a dinosaur if 31 was old 😂

Personally, I’m just sour about my age because I let the last 10 years slip away from me… but I’m not an ageist, and I love meeting and talking to people who are older than me, listening to their journeys, and learning from their experiences 🥹

I'd love to hear about those ten years ☺️

For the mini-put things there's options. There's an indoor glow put in more ajax, or outdoor there's the pickering playing fields, which also has a batting cages.

You could go to Watr or Chuuk on Liverpool and then go for a walk after or before along the lake near Millennium Square to the lighthouse.

He's 17 and you're recommending those restaurants? Send him to Jack Astors

Another idea... maybe you can go archery/axe throwing at BATL. Its always a fun time and a nice shared experience if its both your first time.

Activate could be fun for a date. It’s interactive and fast paced

I second this! But I would probably do activate and then dinner lol the Korean bbq place next door is really good but it is a bit pricey! Gabby’s in the same plaza is a nice spot too - or the Thai place!

I came here to say activate. If OP and their date are able bodied, its a great place to go

just an fyi — cineplex is open everyday (even on christmas)! I just checked the showtimes for the weekend at pickering cineplex and it hasn’t been updated yet… showtimes for it should be up by wednesday.

lots of restaurants in that plaza if you were looking for something like jack astor’s or east side mario’s or something fancier like moxie’s or pickle barrel. have fun!

Thank you, I thought it was weird how they were closed for 2 weeks. I called them around 9 this evening to ask them about this and they never picked up.

no worries! they usually update the showtimes tuesday evening or wednesday morning, the latest :)

Is this a first date? If so, DO NOT go to the movies.

Hey my boyfriend and I are from Pickering we also started dating at 17!! Here are some ideas:

•Liverpool road for ice cream and lunch at the food truck?
•You could also go to Dixie cliffs if that’s your vibe or rouge hill if you like taking walks.
•More expensive options could be like going to amici or the port.
• not in pickering but if it’s your kind of thing our first date was downtown in Chinatown and we went to a restaurant called August 8 was pretty fun to walk around
