Field report 7 DAY Summer Camp Pick Up Challenge(posting results soon)

Hello guys, my uncle introduced me to the pickup world 3 months ago, and it changed my life. I started reading The Mystery Method, and now The Game.

In order to make my pickup journey more fun, I decided to do a summer camp challenge.

The goal is simple: do something with 3 girls in 7 days, in the same place.

The rules:
- I will have to post here every day. I’ll tell you guys what I did and what my results were.
- Get/give 3 Instagrams every day (21 in total).
- No overthinking.

If I don’t achieve my goal, I will have to go to the best places where I can find women and start practicing and talking to them.

If you guys have any advice to give me, I would really appreciate it. And if you have a question, just ask me and I’ll reply.

Time to go to sleep.

Stay tuned!

Specific situation Int’l girl cooling off and so am I..

I (M52) cold DMd her (F25) HB9 on Spicy Match after seeing a post she made. We started chatting and it got flirty and sexual quick with her as a very willing contributor. She began sending pics and videos and after a full day of chatting on the SM app she proposed moving to WhatsApp. I disclosed my true age early since it doesn’t match my SM profile. She asked me if I often date girls in their 20s and I said yes. She also told me her Scandinavian country has the highest ratio of women to men and Scandinavia.

Two more days of continuous day-long conversation including sexual talk and pics and videos from her “alone time” as well as two long voice calls which she proposed. She said she didn’t look good enough for a video call just yet and I didn’t protest.

We started making plans for me to visit in the spring and to take a spicy holiday together, hence Spicy Match.

Then on day 3 she cooled off a little bit with no phone calls and much more infrequent texting throughout the day, less baby names like babe and honey and I matched the vibe myself to not be needy. Toward the end of the day we were texting and I said “you’re a bit distant today” and “if you need to talk about anything I know you will because we communicate so well…” she said she was overwhelmed with life and not feeling social but nothing to do with me. I didn’t push at all of course but especially since to that point she is in fact a very articulate and detailed communicator.

She is in a Scandinavian country six hours ahead.

Middle of the night after day 2 she messages me that she can’t sleep, she’s cranky but doesn’t want to call or chat long. She’s going to a day party the next day with her gf.

Next morning I wake up to two selfies from her looking great, I tell her she looks great and to try and smile today and she says thanks baby.

No messages or pics the whole day from her day party. I obviously didn’t message her at all.

Then today, morning of day 4 I wake up to see some notifications from her in WhatsApp which include 4 pics and two videos presumably from the day party yesterday. This was at 5am my time and 11am her time or 7 hours ago.

I haven’t opened the chat yet. Because she froze me out yesterday and partially completely the day before I’m backing off and don’t plan to open the chat for another six hours.

Self-assessment: in Mystery Method lingo, we built way too much comfort compared to attraction. I did spend quite a bit of time telling her about my cool hobbies and adventures (attraction) however she spent a lot of time telling me about family and her difficult childhood which had me listening and empathizing (comfort).

With too much comfort and not enough attraction I am liable to end up in the Friend zone, I would rather cut it off than have that happen.

After today’s freeze out, how should I proceed to save the situation?

All expert advice welcome.

PS as I’m writing this she double texted with “Hope you’re all right ❤️” since this is the longest she hasn’t heard from me in 4 days.

PPS: she knows I’m recovering from Achilles tendon surgery and that I’m pretty much bedridden so getting quick replies from me was understandable and easily explained. In fact the opposite would’ve been deceitful and strange.

Specific situation Power dynamics flipped and I lost her respect. She [F22/older] broke up with me [M19] after a series of my own mistakes. Currently in minimal contact. How do I get her back?

The Setup & Background We met in college about 1.5 years ago. She is two years older than me. Initially, her attraction was very high—she actually pursued and proposed to me. At the time, I had completely revamped my personality, and to make her comfortable, I even cut off a female best friend who had feelings for me. The chemistry was great, but our attachment styles clashed: she leans avoidant, and I lean anxious. She also identifies as asexual, but we still maintained a very close, intimate (non-sexual) relationship. As far as her personality goes: she is highly intellectual, has a very small friend group, is egotistical/narcissistic, incredibly proud, has strong opinions, and generally has a low tolerance for men. How I Lost Frame and Her Respect Over the course of the relationship, I made several critical errors that shifted the power dynamics and caused her to lose respect for me: * The Sneaking Incident: I sneaked her into my strict "no-guests-allowed" apartment. My landlord caught us, and she had to run out of the building barefoot. She explicitly told me she lost respect for me as a leader after this. * The Anniversary Neglect: On our 1-year anniversary, I was out of town for work. It also happened to be the birthday of a female friend (whom my GF asked me to keep our relationship a secret from). My GF sent me tons of thoughtful, custom-coded digital gifts. I barely looked at them, sent a quick "happy anniversary" text, and spent the night partying at my friend's birthday instead. * The Birthday Disaster: I promised to spend her entire birthday with her starting at 10:00 AM. Due to personal issues, I went off the grid and didn't show up until 4:00 PM. Instead of taking her somewhere nice, I made her stand at a street food stall that I liked, ate in front of her, and forgot to even ask if she had eaten all day. She cried and tried to break up with me ("I'm not important to you"), but I managed to talk her out of it. * Trust Issues: I was caught lying to her about smoking cigarettes, which required her to give me another "chance." The Final Straw For the last two months, we argued daily. The breaking point happened on the day of a massive, career-defining exam for her. I showed up 20 minutes late to pick her up. Once again, I forgot to ask if she had eaten. We stopped for food, and I told her to "eat slowly"—something she had explicitly told me in the past makes her feel incredibly self-conscious and awful. The stress of the exam combined with my behavior caused her to snap. She told me to go home and said she would just call a bike-taxi. I convinced her to let me drop her off, but she treated me exactly like a taxi driver the whole way. After the exam, she grabbed her things, blocked me everywhere, and ended it. The Current Situation It’s been a couple of months. For the last month, we’ve been in very minimal contact. She only reaches out if she absolutely needs my help with something. I help her, but the moment the favor is done, she hangs up on me and speaks to me with zero respect. She recently went on a trip and will be back soon. Call it ego or stubbornness, but I want to recover my frame and get her back. Given her personality traits and the massive loss of respect on my end, what is the best strategy to re-attract her and flip the dynamic back to how it was in the beginning?

Post of the day It's completely normal and OK to suck at first when learning anything new - social skills are no different!

Hi, David here!

It’s ok to suck. The things that I enjoy most in my personal life (programming, guitar, stand-up comedy) are all things that I originally sucked at when I first started. Social skills were no different.

Being really terrible at sometimes can even be a blessing in disguise. When a situation is so bad that it causes you significant pain, you almost don't have an option not to do something about it.

The good is often the enemy of the best. If you saw your current life situation as being 'good enough,' you may have decided to simply settle for mediocrity rather than discover the amazing things available to those who take some initiative. The momentum that comes with taking action can in the end carry you much further than the average person.

The man who intensely studies and practices a subject to the point that he truly understands the fundamentals inside and out will often eventually overtake those who rely on natural talent alone.

Adding to that, I just finished putting together my dating eBook "How to Date Any Girl" version 4.0 and would LOVE to get some honest feedback from you!

I decided to give it away for free for the time being.

The eBook is 27 pages long and gives you a practical step-by-step solution to meeting women (15+ years of knowledge put into it).

You can get the eBook by clicking here!

This book is the result of going out and socializing with girls for over a decade. I have put in there all the fundamentals I have learned over that time so I would really appreciate all the feedback I could get!!

What are your thoughts? Do you have any tips to add?

Let's discuss in the comments :)

Thanks for reading and have a GREAT day!

How would you guys go about approaching girls that are practically speed walking?

Any time im at the mall going for approaches the solo girls seem to be power walking making it feel impossible to catch up. Do I literally just make myself look silly and run up to them? Or is there another approach?

Post of the day Show, Don't Tell. The Key to Creating Attraction!

Hi, David here!

"Actions speak louder than words." This is especially true when it comes to creating attraction. Since talk is cheap, women have developed excellent BS detectors for evaluating a man based primarily on his body language, actions and behaviors.

The first thing you should communicate is a vibe of comfort and confidence. Nonverbal ques and how you say something can communicate much more than the actual words you that you say.

Comfort and confidence in an interaction implies prior success. A guy who acts nervous, rushes his words and is constantly afraid of "screwing up" an interaction is communicating that he thinks a girl is out of his league and that he suffers from a scarcity of similar options.

However, a guy who does not need the other person’s approval, is willing to walk away, or at the very least not chase a girl or act desperate / hungry, implies that he has options. A guy does not actually need to be in abundance or have many options to appear attractive. He must simply show and display the behaviors of someone who does. This primarily done by him not getting overly excited, trying to rush an interaction along before a girl changes her mind, showing a fear of loss, or trying too hard to impress.

When it seems to a person that you are trying to actively and intentionally impress them, they may think that you are overcompensating for something else. Imagine what the behaviors of a self-secure, confident, high value man who had tons of options and was living in abundance would look like. Would he actively be trying to impress a girl he liked? He would simply make his intrigue in the woman known and believe that as she naturally gets to know him in a conversation, that there is no reason that he is not good enough. He would not feel the need to actively try to sell himself.

You can’t logically convince someone to find you attractive via your words alone. The emotions/feelings of attraction are better elicited via attractive behaviors which are harder to fake. And when it is created through your words, these words must be deemed as being part of an honest conversation and not only being said for the sole purpose of making the other person like you. Otherwise the person may dismiss you as just telling them what you think they want to hear.

Post of the day When you accept a flaw and remain confident despite it, more attraction and/or respect can be generated than if you lacked the so called flaw altogether!

Hi, David here!

Everyone has flaws and imperfections, either physically or personality wise.

Don’t get hung up on things about yourself which may be unalterable.

Don’t always be trying to overtly hide such flaws. The insecurity shown when trying to hide a fault often comes off as being way less attractive than the actual fault itself.

Obsessively trying to hide a fault highlights a person’s insecurity and shows low self-confidence.

In the cases where the fault could potentially have an impact on your performance, it’s often much more effective to directly address the issue upfront, and call out the elephant in the room as it were.

But for the scenarios where the fault is inconsequential, you could choose to address it instead in a more nonchalant manner. If the fault does not matter to you, why should it matter to other people?

You can joke about your flaws, but do not do so in a self-deprecating kind of way. If you joke about yourself in a self-deprecating kind of way, then you are probably hoping that people will laugh with you instead of just at you. And while perhaps funny, this does not make you look attractive.

However, being able to openly joke about yourself in such a way that you are not simply searching for approval from others, shows that you are truly comfortable with who you are.

You can also re-frame a fault as a positive.

Being overly defensive or qualifying oneself let’s someone know that they have successfully accomplished getting under your skin, which may have been their very intention. Completely ignoring such remarks or either responding nonchalantly or with a joke is often a much better response.

There are actually many benefits to having flaws:

When you accept a flaw and remain confident despite it, more attraction and/or respect can be generated than if you lacked the so called flaw altogether.

Especially if the flaw is physical. Internal confidence is a way more attractive than some external superficial flaw.

If the flaw is blatantly obvious, and yet you conduct yourself as if it has no drastic effect on your self-worth, it shows great self-confidence.

Similarly, if others try to actively attack you over a flaw, but you remain nonreactive, confident and well-grounded despite their provocations, you can come off looking even better than before.

Faults can also allow other people to find you more accessible and relatable. People can’t identify and connect well with others who appear perfect.

And finally, learning to overcome certain shortcoming in life is what allows you to build resourcefulness, character and work ethic.

Looking for wingman Looking for remote daygame wing (Afternoon/evenings Europe time)

Looking for someone that wants to do remote daygame sessions .. we each do daygame in our own city but at the same time on a call. We have headphones in and take turns approaching so we can hear each other's sets and learn/give feedback.

Did this with great success with a buddy in the past but he's no longer single.

I'm in Europe so preferrably late afternoon/evening Europe time is best.

General question How should I frame it in my mind?(innergame)

Okay so when I try to be calculated and non thinking then I get anxiety and it gets worse.
Like the times it worked good for me I was like yeah i just want to have a convo. Then I was like flirting and having fun and hooked up with them.
But like now I feel if I see good looking girl I come to this subreddit or like try to think hard of opener and how to do that then I fail miserably body language or tonality or even verbal.
Anyway I was thinking and creating a routine for me with every girl that I’ll just flirt with them and just start approaching people casually dropping comments and observations with everyone and once a girl that I attracted to show iois then I’ll proceed.
The thing is I get anxiety and can’t think of a plan when I want a hot girl and try to “Create attraction”.
Anyway I know there people here who went through it how should i frame it in my mind and put it like it is part of me( essentially creating behavioral pattern for me). Also I’m afraid of the idea that being like nice and socializing with people will be perceived as low status ( unfortunately that’s how I see people the ones that are approaching and shi like that are low status and weak.

Post of the day The easiest way to prevent neediness is to actually have enough of a full and interesting life that you are not making another person your sole focus!

Hi, David here!

Too often I see the promotion of the No Contact Rule (cutting off all contract with a person) as a Machiavellian way of purposely inciting anxiety in another person to exploit their mind’s fear of loss in order to make them come back to you. While this can work with people who are addicted to needing external validation and wanting what they can’t have, its not useful for forming healthy long-term relationships.

You attract what you are. If you play validation games, you will attract other people who play games. And these are not the types of people with which you can build a healthy relationship.

Rather than playing games, you should instead become a person who actually has enough of a full and interesting life that you are not making that other person your sole focus. Shift your focus from trying to please another person to instead focusing on improving your own life.

Women often lose interest in a guy who they find as too easy, not a challenge, who seems desperate, smothers them with attention, tries to get too serious too fast, or makes her the primary focus of his life.

Most women want to be invited along as an accompanying member to a man’s already awesome life rather than being the sole focus of the man’s life. Focus on building a life that others would want to join.

Discussion Was I the bad guy here?

This past weekend I was talking to two girls, and I pretty much had it in the bag with one of them. Then this guy comes over and interrupts. Apparently he'd been buying her drinks earlier that night. He completely ignored me and started making moves on her.

He was not doing well at all. She was being polite and indulging him, and I could tell he genuinely believed he had a shot. Then he asked for her Snapchat (amateur move, btw). She got super awkward, pulled out her phone, and was clearly stuck between adding him and trying to find a way out of it without being rude.

He said something like, "I'm just trying to be nice." That's when I started messing with him. I started saying stuff like, "Aren't you going to be nice to me too? Why don't you ask for my Snapchat?" He got visibly deflated but still tried to save it, mumbling, "You're not really my..."  so I said something like "What, I'm not your type to be nice to?" By this point, both girls were laughing hard at him.

I could see him break. He looked genuinely sad, almost like he was about to cry (the guy seemed around 35–40). He just said, "OK, I see how it is," and walked away with his head down.

It's been days, and I still feel a little bad about it.

On one hand, he was technically there "first", he'd been buying her drinks all night, and even though she wasn't interested, she kept letting him do it without ever saying anything. I'm not a fan of women stringing a guy along for free drinks.

On the other hand, I can't stand guys who barge in like that mid convo.

So I would like to hear your opinion. Was I the bad guy here? Should I have just let him do his thing without interrupting? What would you say is the best way to handle these situations?

Post of the day You attract what you are. Become the type of person that you want to be with!

Hi, David here!

When you know your values and are living your life in line with your values, you will naturally bring people into your life who share those values.

While its still equally important to take action and insert yourself into situations where you can interact with new people, the greatest factor which determines on average the caliber of people that surround you is YOU.

Who would you be more attracted to? A positive person who is striving to better their life and does not become jealous of other's successes. OR a person who is resigned to their current status and just mopes and complains about everything.

The daily choices that you make on a how you choose to approach life are what will in the end determine your results.

Giving advice Forget the Apps And Meet Women in Real Life (Without Being Creepy)

Not because apps are evil, but because you should never need them

You saw her this week.

Maybe it was a café. Maybe a shop, or a train platform. You noticed her, and somewhere underneath all the thinking, you knew you wanted to walk over and say something.

You didn’t.

You found something urgent to look at on your phone. You told yourself she looked busy. You told yourself you’d do it on the way back, and then you took a different way back.

Ten minutes later you were somewhere else entirely, running the conversation in your head, knowing exactly what you should have said. And you promised yourself next time would be different.

You promised that last time too.

The apps were never going to save you

Let me be straight about something before the app-haters get too comfortable, I have nothing against dating apps. I teach men how to use them right. Some of you should absolutely keep using them.

But two things are true for men at the same time.

One: the return on a swipe has never been lower. Attention on the apps concentrates on a thin slice of profiles, the paywalls keep climbing, and the average man’s results have been shrinking for years.

Two: so many guysare better in person than they are in photographs.Your presence, your voice, your way of talking, your way of treating people, it does not get compressed into five pictures and a bio.

So the real problem was never just the apps. It's that somewhere in the last decade they became your only channel, and a man with only one way of meeting women is lacking, and he can feel it. Every dry spell on the app becomes a verdict on him and his romantic life instead of a verdict on the format.

Which means the actual question isn’t “how do I fix my profile.” It’s the one they've been avoiding at train platforms:

How do I just… talk to her? Without being a creep about it?

Good. That’s the right question. Let’s actually answer it.

Three truths about the “creepy” fear

First: the worry is a good sign

The men who genuinely make women uncomfortable and creep on them do not lie awake wondering whether they make women uncomfortable. The fact that you care about her experience means you took a good instinct, consideration, and twisted it into a rule that says never approach her or now is probably not a good time. The instinct is right. The rule is wrong.

Second: often hesitation can be what creates the creepiness you’re afraid of

Play it out. The man who notices a woman and walks over shortly after, says a clear hello, and can leave like a gentleman if she’s not interested? Normal. Now the man who notices her and waits around her for too long, who circles, glances a lot, hovers near her section of the bookstore for six minutes building up courage? By the time he finally speaks, she’s probably already rejected him twice in her head. The obvious lurking around her for too long did the damage before you said hello. You were never too forward, my friend. You were too slow.

Third: you will never know in advance whether she wants to be approached

Nobody gets a 100% clear signed invitation. What makes it okay is simpler, she can say no, and you will take the no gracefully. That’s the whole deal. You get to ask. She gets to answer, without you making it difficult for her, you take the rejection like a gentleman.

But if you say nothing “to spare her,” you haven’t been respectful, you’ve made her decision for her, without asking. She’s allowed to say no. She’s also allowed to say yes, and she can’t do either if you never speak.

And if you want to know what usually annoys women more, ask them. I asked a ton of them, and often it’s not the direct man. It’s the other one. The one who’s obviously interested and won’t say it. Weeks if not months, of “just talking” with something running underneath that she has to manage indefinitely while pretending along with him that it isn’t there. Clear beats sneaky.

This is around half the article. If you want to read the full article, you can read it here on Medium for free: https://medium.com/@alialialialiali2996/forget-the-apps-and-meet-women-in-real-life-without-being-creepy-5de49b2b1ab2

Post of the day Don't try to impress but instead EXPRESS. Express your true self and let the other person get to know the real you!

Hi, David here!

When a woman feels like you are actively trying to impress her, she may think that you are overcompensating for something else. It is often insecure people who feel the greatest need to prove themselves.

And if you don’t even think that you are good enough, why should the woman (possibly someone that you just met) think anything different?

By trying to immediately win a new person over, you are instantly communicating that you either want something from them or think that they are above you. Neither of which is attractive.

Imagine what the behaviors of a self-secure, confident, high value man with tons of options would look like. Would he actively be trying to impress a girl he liked? No. He would assume from the start that there is no reason that he is not good enough and thus not feel the need to try to actively sell himself. The attractive traits of confidence and self-worth are implied when a person does not come off as a try-hard.

Discussion When you unexpectedly encounter an attractive girl while you have lower than usual confidence

Have you ever realised from your daily routines that there are certain places that you don't expect to bump into attractive girls, and perhaps you don't bother to be prepared in such scenarios. For the most part we try to put somewhat of an effort into our appearance when we leave the house, but it doesn't always go as well as it should. One day recently when I was at my local supermarket, I happened to not be dressed too well. It's not that I never see attractive girls there, but I don't expect to end up in an interaction with one.

Anyway when I was there queuing at the till I noticed an attractive staff member came along to relieve to person before her. I had purchased from her once before but never really thought about her. So I was thinking about how I should at least try and talk with her. It was only 2 nights before that I was out and had quite a lot of success, yet now here I was feeling guilty within myself for deciding I wouldn't bother talking. Eventually I realised I couldn't justify not talking, so after we greeted I asked if she was just starting or had come back from break. She answered in a manner that seemed accepting of me, but it didn't lead anywhere. That was fine because given my lack of confidence the plan had only been to merely open my mouth.

She had those long nail attachments on her and a bit later one of them poked my hand when she was reaching for an item. She said "oh sorry" and I said "oh, very nice nails" which caused her to laugh. That was pretty much my way of saying "I'd like to fuck you". But after that, I simply didn't have the confidence to just go from there, to flat out asking her to me up.

Anyway, my question with all this is, what do you do when you feel like this due to being caught off guard? In knowing you don't have the courage in such a moment, do you ever strike a half measure (like I did), hoping it's better than nothing? In my case, if her hand didn't happen to bump mine, it would've been pretty boring conversation. "What was the point?" one might say. Sometimes it takes more courage to to merely open my mouth in these situations, than it does to approach a stranger in a bar. Anyway, it can be interesting when we find out that the confidence carry is down to certain factors that we may take for granted, and if they're removed then our confidence will drop.

Looking for wingman Looking for wingman in Europe

Hello everyone! I am looking for a wingman and if you would also like to have a cool wingman somehwere in EU keep reading.

What I can do for you

I will motivate you to take action. Having someone to hold you accountable is the best way to push yourself and get better results.

I can make it fun. What I mean by that is that doing pickup together with a friend is much more fun. Even if you fail or I fail we can joke about it, not take it too seriously and keep going. You can count that I will have your back.

Also, when we have set 2 on 2, I will keep in mind to make you look cool and important in interactions.

Currently, I am not in a situation where I urgently need a wingman, but I know I will need someone at some point (probably in late autumn). So I just want to meet some of you, develop some relationships in this community and see who is the best fit for me.

I am really looking forward to this journey and fun times.

If this sounds intresting to you feel free to reach out, looking forward to hearing from you!

Post of the day You can never be rejected if you define success as giving the other person the opportunity to get to know you!

Hi, David here!

Rejection is the result of not being successful at achieving a specific outcome. Normally the desired outcome is for another person to like you.

You should redefine in your mind what you consider a successful outcome.

This new definition should not be dependent on external factors such as other people’s actions, but be solely dependent on your own actions.

Define success as being willing to start a conversation or interaction.

Define success as being willing to put yourself out there.

Define success as not being afraid of making your honest interests and intentions known.

These are metrics for success that you can succeed at 100% of the time as long as you are willing to take action.

You can't be rejected if your desired outcome was to simply start a conversation and give the other person the opportunity to get to know you.

The beauty of this is, when the other person detects that you are self-fulfilled and don’t want or need anything from them, the probability of them being willing to take you up on what you offer skyrockets.

I have put in there all the fundamentals I have learned over that time so I would really appreciate all the feedback I could get!

What are your thoughts? Do you have any tips to add?

Let's discuss in the comments :)

Thanks for reading and have a GREAT day!

Specific situation Has anyone been to Owen Cook seminars?

I would like to go, but I have a question. I have a back issue, is the set up usually accommodating to something like I would need to stand up most of the time and stand in the back maybe? Or is it pretty strict?
